    I’m back!

There isn’t a section for returning users, so thought Startline was probably the best place to put this. For those of you who don’t know/remember me, I’m Mat and was a member here 3-4 years ago - used to have a green 1.8 Zetec before Covid job loss forced me to sell. For those of you I have met up with previously - hello again, can’t wait to see you all. My partner will confirm I’ve been a right miserable and grumpy sod since selling up, and so delighted to report that I’ve finally managed to rectify the situation. Introducing the Jaffa Cake. A 2.0 Duratec SEiW Deal agreed today and will be collected this coming week at some point. I’m based South Lincs, towards Peterborough. Looking forward to one of your run outs to some cake at some point @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative and @AndrewBClarke. Will be in touch with you too@Martin Bell - (Bellyboy) East Anglia AO as I think you’re my closest AO? Thanks Mat
  3. John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO

    Y Ddraig Goch.

We meet on the Wirral on the Saturday morning, and drive thru North Wales, aiming to get to Llandrindod Wells about tea time. Nice meal in the guest house, and a few scoops. Sunday morning, the Elan Valley calls, then home for tea time. Hope that suits. We can arrange a rendezvous on the Saturday, let me know if you’re up for this. Will be a great weekend. John.

    Thruxton Retro

I ended up going to this last weekend and it turned out to be a pretty good event. Due to the theme previous years being Historic and now Retro the Westfield possibly wasn't the most suitable car to take along. It was too late to arrange anything much and initially I'd hoped to enter as part of the Thruxton car club. It turned out for now this was just a way to get more cars in to display but didn't get much interest. I did spot that Retro Rides were trying to get some cars along to take part at the last minute and took the Westfield and my daily Volvo 940. I didn't fancy sitting in sun all day and didn't really want the Westfield getting drenched so taking the Volvo meant I could also bring my pop up shelter, lots of drinks etc.
  6. It's our Area Meet this Thursday, at the Golden Pheasant, plumber. 7.30pm start, 7pm if eating!

I might be up for this. What sort of mileage/driving is the plan for each day?
  8. Just had an update on our stand position at this years show, centre stage on a nice flat field, and i can say it is going to be GREAT! and they have grouped all the kit related clubs together which i also like. Can't wait. Still time to get tickets if you want to come along 👍 Please let me know on here or pm or if you are on the East Anglia WhatsApp... I will add you to the list... Kimbolton 2025.pdf

    CleaR Motorsport Curborough Sprint-Track-tuition day

I was thinking of hiring Curborough for a half day for myself but could join this if numbers are low and you need more cars to make it viable. Date dependant of course .. we have lots planned already over the next 3 to 4 months

Light / electric blue paint code

Fair! My car is electric blue but I don't have any offcuts. I think @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman might have, when he reworked his scuttle bulkhead. That was a while ago though...
  19. Mat Jackson 1975

Light / electric blue paint code

I can - but a colour can look great on paper (or another car) and then look naff on a Westie…
  20. Peter (Monty)

Light / electric blue paint code

If you don't have existing parts to colour match it with, surely you have more freedom to choose whatever shade of blue you like the most?
  21. Mat Jackson 1975

Light / electric blue off cuts..

Has anyone got any fibre glass off cuts of electric blue? I’m looking to paint my car that colour and want to get a colour match…

    Recent snap of your Westfield

None of this fancy European stuff for me unfortunately, just a mundane visit to B&Q. Any excuse to get out!

    Interested it the date works.
  27. Flying Carrot Steve

Light / electric blue paint code

Is that the same colour as your car @Mat Jackson 1975? If so you can get it scanned. Many paint suppliers can do that and give you either an exact match from the paint database or the closest to it. I used The Car Paint Warehouse nearest to me. I'm sure you know all this though... https://www.carpaintwarehouse.co.uk/colour-matching
