Hi! @SootySport Is mine an early Kit widebody? Considering the incident with my fly-off bonnet I had some years ago - would it be a wise investment to put this into storage for a "rainy day"? Or do body parts come up fairly regularly?

If you have not already I'd be looking around to see what's available that matches the spec of your car so you've an idea of replacement cost when the discussion start. If they undervalue it as they are likely too then it increases the chances of it being a write off, a true valuation may make the repair economic.

The Kit and Sports Car Show in Lincoln at end of August *cancelled**
Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator replied to AndrewBClarke's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
Unfortunately this show has been cancelled please see information below from show organisers: ''Lincoln Kit Car Show Dear Exhibitor, It is with great regret that we announce that the Lincoln Kit Car Show has been cancelled. We had hoped that the move from Newark to Lincoln would have been a good one for the show but unfortunately there has not been enough interest from trade to justify running the show. We will still be running the National Kit Car Show in Malvern and look forward to welcoming you there next year on 30-31 May 2026. Kind regards, Grosvenor Shows Ltd'' -
Sorry to hear about you accident but glad your ok, I think if I were in your position, I would be looking to go straight to Siltech for a brand new chassis. Wait times aside, the quality is top notch
-
Needed more urgently please. Sadly I'm not currently in the position to be able to buy any of the complete hub / uprights / etc that people are offering. I just need one Westfield alloy hub preferably with studs, bearings, seal and cap.

I meant to DM you last night, see how you are getting on mate. Are you hoping to rebuild or would you prefer the dosh and find another car?

Yorkshire meeting, 1st July.

Anyone coming along tonight? -
Had the insurance assessor in today to examine the car and he agrees that it requires a new chassis and body panels. He said he would try and price what the repairs would cost and then submit his report to the insurance company, so I'll just need to wait on the next update from them.

Love the plate! I tried to find a Carrot related one but couldn't find anything really good.

Standard size battery mount chopped and adapted to fit smaller pc680 battery. No longer needed, will need a coat of paint. £10 collect BD22

Fitted this to my narrow bodied Westfield, Bought from the forum many moons ago, someone had made a bit off a mess cutting the sides for a cage. It went under a cover on mine so didn't need to be pretty. Has aluminium panels at sides so it can be easily removed with cage in place. Use as is or spend a bit of time with some fibreglass and make a proper job of it. Ali is sealed so it's watertight £20 collected from BD22

Sold to me as Narrow Lowline but it's not a Lowline in fact I don't think it's even a narrow. Reading on the forum / looking at pics I believe it maybe an early fixed arch wide body. Any experts offer some advice? It's had a life, looks like it's had an engine change at some point, it's been painted and the side panels have been cut by the previous owner. But, realistically, it's nothing a weekend with some fibreglass and sandpaper wouldn't sort. I could do with moving this along as I've lost some of my storage. Currently in BD22 would prefer collection but may be able to help move for the right money. Obviously new owner will need to satisfy themselves that it is what they need. Happy to provide measurements, more pics just let me know what you need. Haven't really got a clue on price, Front Arches, nose, scuttle, wiper cover and bootbox are in all in good order, rest has had holes cut. Sides look dull but it's just dust from storage. Would £250 be reasonable? Open to offers. ,

What the postie brought today!
p k replied to Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset's topic in The Start Line
I was familiar with the gastronorm range but they were all the wrong sizes to fit in the Xi sills , this size is sold specifically for scoop ice cream . I wanted a metal one to restore the stiffness in the sill as it involves cutting a large hole in the sill . -

They are called gastronorm containers. If you Google you will see that they are based upon a set size.. the biggest is a 2x1, then the most common is a 1x1 which is half the size. They are then available in halves, thirds, quarters and months etc as a fraction of the 1x1.. Different depths too.. also in polycarbonate.. -

Took a bit of finding in the right size after spotting them in an ice cream parlour, I was not that confident of making my own , aluminium never folds where I want it too. I probably wont fit them until post IVA and door refit just to make sure the covers open without problems .
