Yeah. I'm really lucky that I've got a proper, old-school independent place down the road from me. The guy who runs it actually cares, really puts the effort in, and likes seeing less ordinary cars. So he's more than happy to see the Westfield either for an MOT or for anything else tbh. I take all the families cars there for MOTs and servicing.

MOT today and the car passed, after an arduous engine swap and subsequent emissions issues. Blew it up 21/6/24, fresh MOT today 13/4/26. I am immensely relieved. Victory lap:

Just squirt in plenty of Dinitrol or similar cavity wax and that should quieten them down!
  19. Did the same on my orange car - amazing how such a small change can make such a big difference to the look. I was also worried about the rivet bodies rattling - but I can't hear anything over the noise of the ITBs and exhaust....
  20. Yes - you’re buying late breakfast for all of us.
  21. I think nearly every Westfield on the road has a few rivet heads either in chassis tubing or between fiberglass and alloy and both in my case they don't really rattle around .

    Done a similar thing.
  23. Changed the bonnet latches to nice shiny new black ones. Satisfying result for an all yellow / black car. Just have to work out now how to get the rivet bodies out from inside the tub / trim gap as will probably rattle about.

    MOT Testing

Yep, if in doubt, old school garages doing old school cars are usually the best starting point, if you have no other info available.
