Thanks Ian.. I have put slightly stronger springs on but still soft.. and it has reduced the roll a little and improved turn in.. The cheap Kumhos were hanging on ok too!!

Looks like you're pulling some 'G' there, @Mole Martyn. Quite some roll on the car (though the left side is well on the kerb)! -

Fab meet last night with a really good turnout. We have gained some new members over the last year and that brings a really nice atmosphere to the group. The good weather and lighter nights really do help get those cars out! Last night we had ten members and six Westfields, one Caterham and a 505bhp orange Beast which I can’t recall the make! It’s like a seven on steroids! The Caterham lives just down the road from me, so we met at mine and headed to Ilminster to meet Matt for a lovely drive over the Blackdown hills to Cullompton. Another gang comprising Rob, Colin, Mark, Matt (owner of the beast!) and Adrian met near Exeter and also headed up in convoy. Great to see so many lovely cars in the car park when we arrived, and we spent a while ogling them all before heading in for food and a natter. It’s amazing that whilst there were six Westfields there, they are all so different. Rob’s lovely blue 4.6l V8, Ben’s stripped down yellow SEiW 1.8, Mark’s crazy orange MegaBlade ‘weapon’, Matt’s orange SeiW, Adrian’s red SEW and my Gulf SEi. Hopefully Colin will be back on the road next month and I remain ever hopeful that Steve will get his sorted and along to a meeting before I retire . That’s not to forget Mr Homfray-Davies who has been sorting his shocks out ahead of the summer. So, nine active members/cars which is fantastic. Most left just before nine, and Matt and I headed off about 9.15. I was home at about 10.15, popped the car away and tried to get some kip before a 4am alarm call and a drive up to Dartford this morning! Thanks chaps. Fingers crossed for the weather on Sunday when we will hopefully head to the Haynes Breakfast Meet, then we have a two day adventure to Wales in mid May which we are all really looking forward to. Pics below, I’ll pop a video walk around up in a bit. Stu -

No worries. I changed my gearknob over the winter so have a spare one. I don't want to split the unit but if you're circumstances change just let me know - Yesterday

Thank you for that tip - I’ll measure the tunnel itself.

Be careful about this as a type 9 gearbox doesn't imply a type 9 tunnel.

KevanP replied to KevanP's topic in Parts Wanted
Thanks but already have the gearknob and gear stick, so only need the ferrule. -
Still in need if somebody has one available. Thanks!

My 'Ace Café' beanie and safety specs weren't a good enough disguise then?

BTeeling started following Carpet set

Hello All, I am looking for a full carpet set. Was there a separate company to Westfield producing carpets? Widebody Type 9 tunnel (I think) Looking for navy blue. Is there any other spec/info needed for carpet type? Thanks! Ben

I’m selling the covered trailer my Westy arrived in to me, 6 years ago. It’s sat in the barn unused since then, so it’s quite dusty! It had new tyres and wheel bearings fitted when I got it. Comes with a spare wheel. It has a lockable front box on the outside, and a wheel rack inside. Naturally comes with the ramps and rear light panel. Collection only, from Dorset, as I don’t have a car with a tow hook. £1600.

National Drive Your Westfield to Work Week - May 19-22! Open to all!

Sometimes we all need a little push to get over the start line for the Westfielding year ahead. What could be a better target than the club institution of "National Drive Your Westfield to Work Week"? So check the oil, charge the battery, kick the tyres, get those MOTs sorted and set a note in your diary to take the Westfield to work. If you Work From Home or don't work then don't worry - drive to the garden centre for a coffee instead, we just want to see the photos of your car mixing it up with the sad, colourless commuters! The thread starts here, now, so you don't have to wait Thank you for your attention to this matter...-
