Odyssey battery.
Flying Carrot Steve replied to John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO's topic in Parts for Sale
Similar things have happened to me in the past, hence I have a used PC680 and a PC545 (I think) in my garage. Pretty sure they are fine but not sure how to tell? -
Iโll pm you ๐๐ผ

Iโll take it ๐๐ผ

Did the child come with it as part of the purchase price?
-
Yep, I've decided to start being sensible and wear a helmet like I used to. Tbh I'd kinda forgotten that I actually like wearing a helmet in the Carrot! Time to unbox the 4 year old but brand new still in its box carbon lid I think ๐

After looking into your account backstage, Iโm afraid that too much time has elapsed to renew your membership and youโll have to rejoin the club. However, this is the same price as renewal, so youโre not going to be penalised in any way. Log in on the forums if you havenโt already, then click twice on Store under the WSCC logo on the top left of the screen, then click on Membership and choose if you want membership with posted printed magazines or with electronic copies of the magazine.

Sorry, donโt know either. Battery was losing charge, replaced it, and the new battery was the same. Only to find a wiring fault was causing the drain. - Today

Curborough - Sunday 24th August @10am
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary replied to Rob Hunter - Club Secretary 's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
A dull morning turned into stunning weather at Curborough today. Thanks to @Chester (and wife Sarah) and @DanDB for coming along. Loads of track action plus plenty of tasty cars in the car park enjoying the sunshine ๐ The Caterham guys were all very friendly, happily chatting tonusnijnthw paddock about tyres, wheels, engines, suspension choices etc. Even found another Westfield who arrived in convoy with 3 Caterhams, sadly I never managed to track down the owner....- 1 reply

Its not "too difficult", just -more- difficult than without. I drive in caged Westfield also (track only ) so just sharing mine experience.
-
I had a look at a car fitted with a caged roll cage fitted and it didn't look to difficult to get in. I assume they make them for live and independent narrow cars ? I wanted to speak to someone about them properly but they must have been too busy. I wanted to know how much taller then the original bar and the windscreen they are as well. Ihave a rough idea now.

Welcome Simon @symonh2000 we like pics ! ๐ -
With half doors fixed its another story. Only way - up above cage with cage. Similar with additional side protection bar as on Westfield Cup cars : Without half doors or that bar, much easier without cage. Part of fun for me with road Westfield is that dont need to wear helmet, no acrobatics getting in and out . I know safety...but in production cars with doors and roof there is more strucural safety, air bags etc. By we still drive ours unsafe (even with cage, btw without 'helmet-always' and Fia padding on tubes even more unsafe) Westfields.

Hey Everyone, I have been a lurker here for a while as I have been looking at buying a Westfield for some time. But yesterday I finally took delivery of one from someone who is also a forum member. I is a 1600 CVH factory built car in blue. It is very nice but I am planning a few upgrades including engine conversion (most likely Zetec) and some cosmetic enhancements. I am not a stranger to Westfields as my late father owned a SE narrow with 1.7 X-flow many many years ago. I have also owned a TVR Griffith and numerous other interesting cars. I am sure that I will have a few questions to ask the knowlegeable members here as I begin my own Westfield journey. Best regards, Simon
