Mine's burned into my memory VW Beetle - I can still disassemble and reassemble one in the dark Ford Escort - 4 door 1.1 engine - not one of the good ones Ford Capri - you were never sure if it was going to go through the hedge backwards or forwards Mini - fond memories of bypass hoses Triumph TR 7V8 - used to eat front wheel bearings for some reason; made me loathe pop up headlights Seat Ibiza - pre VW days; easily the most unreliable car I've ever owned and I've owned some right ****boxes Mini Metro - burst into flames one day UVA Fugitive - even less practical than a westie Ford Fiesta - bought it with Barclaycard points; cracking car; ran it into the ground Mini Moke - bizarrely went fantastically well in the snow while simultaneously being totally impractical for the snow Scimitar SS1 - underrated flying machine with the endearing habit of the front wishbones falling apart while driving at speed Land Rover Series 2 lightweight - I've had cars that let in water in through the roof but this is the only one that let water in through the floor - burst into flames one day (another Rover - coincidence?) Porsche 968 - easily the most reliable car I've ever owned Smart Car - I think the engine recalls got into double figures Mazda MX5 - fantastic car but turned into a brown doily Audi A3 - not worth anything but won't die Westie 😁 - Today

PDM32 has arrived back from repair at AiM, ready to go back in the car. Although it was annoying that it needed repairing, I think the repair process with AiM was extremely straightforward. -

Interesting car history, I had a Civic GL and a Mini which was probably faster than the Civic ! I had a mk2 XR2 before those. Was the Mk1 a Supersport or XR2 Robin ? -
Thanks guys. I remember that trip. I was picking up a fibreglass body and extra wide arches for myself and seats for Rab. I was knackered, down and up overnight with a few hours kip on the bench seat of the transit I was driving. Still got the parts collected but hopefully they will be fitted this year!

Mini Mayfair to a CRX would have been a bit of a step up. I know that going from a 1.4 Cavalier to a Civic EG VTi was!! -

Kit Car Event @The Motorist, 9th August.
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO replied to Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
I have 16 cars booked in for this, hopefully the allocated spot (parking zone 4) will be big enough. We'll have to park up close to each other. On arrival, let the marshals know that you are with the WSCC and they'll point you in the right direction. Anyone else wanting to come are more than welcome. -

Recived today, really small (CD to present size) : Edit : its wires has such type of connector in need for longer wires, BTW , interesting connector, (the same type of connectors I have found in newest Carcoon ), found in google that it is used in solar panels : -
Welcome back @Alfascozzesi! If my memory serves me correctly, we met as a part of a WSCC Courier Service getting a set of seats to Scotland about 5 years ago! 😂😂

Hey all, I was on here for a few years with my Westfield and met a few of you, mostly in Scotland but had a prang which meant my Westfield journey stopped for a bit. Time and pennies are easier now (offspring’s Uni journey finished and new Westfield journey begins) and I am rebuilding and while I am sure progress will be slow I am enjoying pottering in the garage again. I will of course be leaning on the wealth of knowledge and goodwill on this forum and hopefully my questions are not too mundane or head slapping! Expect the first salvo of questions immanently!

GBS are organising a drive out on the 31/8 starting from their factory in Ollerton, NG22 9ZD Details below which includes the contact info to register your attendance. The starting time is yet to be advised. I went on last years and it was a good mixture of 7 style cars and was great fun and ended up at a suitable pub for the necessary refreshments. -
