Yes, on your car, it’s an FW tub, with ZK V8 bonnet and ZK V8 Ducted nose cone. (Technically it’s also a ZK scuttle, but there is only one scuttle for FW and ZK use, so it’s always the same. As Naranja said, the FW bonnet is a one piece affair, with built in nose cone. It also attaches via a hinge at the front and swings up for access, because of this, the underside of the nose is a slightly different shape to give more clearance with the ground when it swings up. That alone would make the splitter a trickier job to fit, if it would at all. And of course with the splitter on, the bonnet would need to be made removable (or hinged in some different much more complicated way) as the splitter would stop you being able to open it on the standard hinge.

Well that’s good to know, so it’s only really the rear body that’s FW then

Had to take the westy to work. I failed to authorise charging last night Then as I was late after having to move cars and fill up I didnt put the tonneau cover on so I got back into a wet padded seat and was soaked before I got my belt on then 45 wet motor way miles. A great day

As the oven is now fixed at massive expense.. I will start taking orders again from monday 30th march I will also be working things slighty different as Im going to make items in batches of five to help limit materials waste and i will also be work items together that complement each other to help maximise oven space and it will also help with things like cardboard supplys and should help with saving time . And I will be starting with dash blanks and front splitters Stay lucky

Fantastic, thanks Ian. @Stuart@Euan Hoosearmy I'm actually based in Haslemere, with many potential non-motorway routes. The quickest would take me west out to Winchester. I could be easily convinced to scrap the idea of towing in favour of a numb bum if there's a possibility of an early Saturday morning convoy... -
Maybe not photos of my entire Westfield, but photos of some important bits of it. Broken bits, but still important bits! Christ only knows how it managed to split a head nut like that and I haven't looked deeply enough yet to find which spring is split.

as a pure road car I find them hard to beat. Mine did a couple of trips to lemans and some long UK drives and was always comfortable. I am likewise a big fan of the MX5 and my Westfield used one as a donor but at 6ft2 I simply didn’t fit the current models. Right now the BRZ’s are holding their value well (slightly less so for the GT86) and despite buying mine from a forecourt I still managed to sell it for more than I originally paid for it. if you’re tempted, it really is as clean as the pictures suggest.

That's great feedback. Thanks. My gut feel is a 240 would be a great car. But it won't get me out of bed at 630 on a Sunday morning lto have a drive before everyone wakes up, ike I do in the Westfield.

My use will typically be commuting and when I'm driving somewhere with just me or with my son. I expect the better half would demand we use the BMW when she joins me... I used to daily a MK1 mx5 many years ago and whilst I took have a soft spot for them, I'd prefer a roof now. I'm not looking for a track weapon, but a car that I could take for a run out at donington (which is nearby) once or twice as year and enjoy it. My Westfield is very much a road setup rather than a track car. A few years back I had some passenger laps in a GT86 at Bedford and it went very well for a road car. @Mark (smokey mow) It was the newer facelift version that I was looking at. However... From the pictures that looks spotless for it's age, has remarkably low mileage and comes in below the budget I was thinking.... I've seen some of the newer ones go for £22k, but at that price I'dy almost worth stretching for a GR86

I have a 240 and it has great acceleration but you can't really throw it into corners
