Account autorenewal unwilingly.
WSCC Webmaster replied to Maurici- CleaR Motorsport's topic in Membership Information ONLY
As Scott said, I have found and removed all of the (encrypted) card details that were on file, so that from now on no auto-renewals should be possible. If anyone does get billed, please shout up. -
Account autorenewal unwilingly.
Captain Colonial replied to Maurici- CleaR Motorsport's topic in Membership Information ONLY
The Webmaster (all hail the Webmaster and name your first born after him) was also stumped, but on digging deep into the quagmire of info discovered an encrypted file containing stored encrypted card details. I agreed with him that was probably where the issue was, which did not occur until the club changed payment portals from PayPal to Stripe just over a year ago. He asked if those card details (which were encrypted, just to be clear again) should be deleted, to which I said yes, do it please. So if anything goes wrong, it’s on my head. The only tiny inconvenience is that no one will be able to store their card details backstage any longer, so you will need to input your full card details every time you purchase or renew your membership, but better that than the system taking it without your or our knowledge. Will keep an eye on this…. Pass the vodka, please. -

Megabusa or Bike engined car Gear linkage brackets ? What have you got ?
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary posted a topic in Parts Wanted
I'm looking for the gear linkage bracket for a Megabusa or Megablade engined car, that connects the rod from the gear knob down to the engine ? Anything similar also considered. Picture shows what I am after. Thanks -

long shot, but i am the current owner of this westfield, you wouldn't happen to know what the spring rates were when fitted? I believe the car is a bit too soft for me at the moment but would like to know what the starting point is before deciding on where to go next. Thanks -

95k for a 4 cylinder car in green, with swept wings. Makes my 8 cylinder car in green with swept wings 190k then. As much as it’s a daft price, that Donk does look lovely. - Yesterday

Tyres for 7's Speed Series
John_Hoyle replied to Richard Houlgate's topic in 7s Speed Series Discussion
hi i think tyres is a reel problem ,as we all know the old kumho and avon were the tyres to use in road going classes, current 1b tyres dont warm up quick enough for sprints as two to three laps are generally needed to get heat into them. there is off course the pirelli p7 corsa classic ,but the cost is similar to slicks, i think it is a very difficult situaion, personally i think any tyre that is e marked , ie road legal should be allowed to be used. -
Tyres for 7's Speed Series
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary replied to Richard Houlgate's topic in 7s Speed Series Discussion
I'm starting to think that isa better option, given how difficult it is now getting to buy decent 13" compounds, where as 15" is much easier. The Nankang CRS coumpound is rated by them as better than the popular AR1. And CRS is not available in 13", but is in 15" -
To be honest i have been pondering this as well For sure if all was equal the 13" would be better but of the rubber just isnt available would the diferance be of set. If only we had the funds and time to back to back test like they do o youtube

I get that, unsprung weight is definitely a big deal. However, I was wondering if running a much better tire might alleviate (or even completely remove) the disadvantage. -

I have the same one. There is a technique to laying the terminals into it, but it does crimp perfectly once you get the hang of it -

Just managed to pick myself up off the floor in time for delivery of this crimp tool for the Ampseal connectors. Nice bit of kit but £250!! Time to start connecting things up and testing on the workbench (dining table). -
