Surrey Area 2025
Martin Hewes AO Surrey replied to Martin Hewes AO Surrey's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
It would be nice to meet up before and head in as a group but appreciate timings might be tricky as some have some distance to travel and we are staying local. Having never been before I’ve no real idea about the size of the event or the implications of a paddock pass. I can only rely on other events I’ve been too. maybe we should just have a target time to get to the business park and then agree a time to leave for the event. If the planets align and the roads behave then great. Maybe us AO’s can swap numbers and try to stay in touch or enable tracking. I assume those with paddock passes can either decide to park with those without or continue to the paddock. -

(I wonder when they will revisit and ditch the servos for steppers) (I did swap servo for stepper, And I'm nowhere near as obsessed as these two are) -

Protech shocks, good condition, reasonable price. Cost me £130 to find I'd been scammed. Be careful out there. Not on our forum, I'm glad to say. Karma happens.

I just chucked a crafty Paddock application in, sure it’s full already. See you there. @Martin Hewes AO Surrey do you still want to try to meet at the business park? -

I have read that Radarboot is Spanish app , so popular in South America,Mexico etc, many people there. Hm maybe it should be called Zorro Of course best is which is most popular in current region ! would not reccomend Yanosik in UK You shoud have Your Robin Hood of course , in PL Yanosik is the obvious choice esp that here police CAN stay anywhere (almost) . Andit works immediately, at least Chat GPT says that Radarboot is processing every notification before sending to other users, so no immediate warning to other users. How not "immediate" dont know

If you guys are in the paddock then not so important to drive in together, its only if we want to be parked up together in the main area -
Expanding foam seat…. Done!
Andrzej replied to Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset's topic in The Start Line
I was meaning that there is (at least on picture) an "incision" / "sulcus" on the right sight of the back (blue line You painted) . Thought of possible two reasosn - one is having spine not centraly, which was not serious reason of course (so ther is " : ) " emoti attached ) Other I thought of -lack of foam during process (I know sth about that, so first comest to my mind) , and I just suggested to add at first ocasion foam to fill it, because I know that main advantage of such seats is ideally fitted whole sitting area to individual body. (part on the tunnel in my cas was because I made too much foam and tried to use it there, I suspect it will crack in time, will see. ) -

Hey folks, there should hopefully be a few of us coming down from Bristol, although waiting on a couple to confirm. But even if it’s just me, happy to meet at the business park, looks like a good find. We were probably looking to get down for around 08.30, but does that sound too late then? Happy to adjust timings if so. And we’ve all got Paddock too I think -

Also 2 of our group have managed to get spaces in the paddock so if they want to be included in any group shots then we’ll have to take them at the business park 🤣🤣 -

Just some concern from Matt that other cars may chose to do the same so could be crowded. How many cars are you expecting? 4 with Martin? I think we are 4 or 5, @Paul Baker - Bristol Bath and Cotswold AO? -

Let me see what time breakfast is at our lodgings. Conscious 4 7’s starting up at 7:30 on a Sunday morning might not make us very popular 🤣🤣. Looks like gates open at 8 but cafe not until 11 ?? not sure where you guys are coming from but we’ll want to make full use of the inclusive breakfast 🤣 and then checkout etc so maybe we can pushing meeting up to 8:00? I think it’s only 2 mins from the museum? -

Hi Martin, was about to message you both to arrange something! That looks like it should work, can't see any gates so we can gather there and drive in together. How about meeting at 7.45 ish, then we can head down and get there just after 8? -

Just read stupid article stating that you’ll probably be dead if hit at 30 mph but at 20 mph you’ll be alive ; what utter tosh! If you are hit in the most vulnerable place, you can be dead at 5 mph. This seems to be a fairly commonly pushed myth by the Tax collecting modern highwaymen. I recall cameras being called ‘Speed cameras’; stick a different label on and call them ‘Safety cameras’ and enough of the ‘sheep’ among us bought it. It’s high time someone blew this open for what it largely is - Tax collection!

These have come off my sport 250 as ive changed to 13's. Being from the sport 250 they are a staggered design not the usual identical 4. See images that show the rears are dished slightly different. I don't know the ET as its not stamped but these are ford fitment not Mazda. Tyres are Toyo Proxes R1R's which all have great tread especially the rears, these are an excellent tyre that you can no longer get. £650
