Hello, I’m in LA, California. I got lucky and found an early prelit Ali car. (Thank you Damion for the info) I think it’s an early 1983 car has an Jo cross flow 1275 MG with 4 spd no sync 1st gear. The car is stock outside of an MSD (I might remove now I know it’s early) and an electric fan which I’m leaving since it HOT here. It was in need of TLC when I got it so I’m just slowly getting the car sorted. The car kinda fell in lap so I’m open to any Information if I’m wrong Thanks chris

I admit that I was in two minds over applying, but figured that since I've never been before and have no other plans that day, having the XI on display was worth the inconvenience.

Got tickets for that, so will be saying hello if I can spot you 👍 I never apply for these as you really need to stay the whole day, whereas I've usually seen it all after a couple of hours...

This year's Annual Service will be at Bicester Heritage on the 9th August, from 9.00 - 16.00. There's usually a good turn out of various cars, and this year at least one Westfield will be on display. For reasons that I can't quite explain, my XI has been selected to be on display in the Exotics and Rarities section. Should you be passing, I'll be the tall, scruffy looking fellow stood near it.

It looks great! Only thing I would say is that on a smartphone this page doesn't display well, word wrap needs adjustment maybe? Not that I know! 😂

By way of an entirely obvious and un-subtle bump...the car was in Complete Car Builder magazine this issue and will be in Total Kit Car next (or possibly next plus one) issue.

Fantastic! Just noticed your location says South Cheshire! The Cheshire and N. Staffs area meet the first Thursday of the month at the Golden Pheasant, Plumley. We’d love to see you and your new car! (Though you’re very welcome to join us with or without the Westfield!) Additionally, a few of us often join the Peak District Area of a Sunday, to enjoy runs in the hills and dales. You’d be very welcome to come along.

Things are getting serious now, I just ordered a four post lift, so I can stack one car above the other instead of losing my workbenches and having to wangle two cars into a very tight space side by side

I had a lot of great adventures in that car, covering over 14k miles on tours. I'm glad to see it's gone to a good home and is only about an hour away. Here are a few shots from some of my favorite trips in the car. USA2005 Monterey car week 2012. This kid was a huge fan of the cars -- that's a big deal given the lack of se7en awareness in the US -- but he had never seen one in the flesh. That smile is the result of taking him for a spirited drive. This is on the way to Mount Rainier as part of a 3-day loop in 2017. I'm looking forward to hearing about your own adventures!
