Warwickshire Area Track Day, Curborough, 22nd May 2026
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO posted a topic in Track Days
I have delayed the posting of this event until the fantastic Vulcan visit was done and dusted. Now that's completed we have the first of our usual two track days per year on Friday, 22nd May 2026. The format for this event will be the same as in previous years. Please read all of the details below and contact me as requested please. Also, please read the following disclaimer: ** To save the WSCC from any liability issues I have to let you know that the Curborough track days have been booked by Warwickshire Area Organisers independently (as they have been for the last 15 years) and are not therefore organised or sanctioned by the Westfield Sports Car Club. ** As usual we are keeping it to only 15 cars, with first choice on the limited number of places to Warwickshire Area WSCC members, then followed by the wider WSCC membership. If all the places are not filled, I will post it on the Warwickshire Area Facebook page and accept non-WSCC members to make up the numbers. I have arranged to have the on-site café provide us with food and drinks for the day. Clearly there is an additional cost for this, so the fee has been adjusted accordingly. The costs are the same as for the May event this year, It will be £104 per car/driver including food, if all 15 places are filled. Any additional driver/passenger will be £17 to cover food only (if required). I intend to open the gates around 9am, the track will open at 10am, with lunch from 1pm until 2pm and finishing at 5pm. NOTE 1: The proposed fee will cover all the costs with a small surplus, to be donated to the appropriate WSCC charity (Air Ambulance). However, if we cannot fill all the places then I will have to ask for additional funds to cover the cost of the hire. NOTE 2: I would like all monies paid by the 8th May. These track days are often oversubscribed therefore we will keep a reserve list in case of last minute withdrawals, but if places are not filled by re-sale, refunds for non-attendance cannot be made. Please follow the instructions below; 1. Send me a PM with your full name, an email address and a mobile number 2. Pay the full balance by bank transfer to the details I return to you, ASAP please 3. Read the menu below and indicate a lunch preference to pre-order. Note: breakfast sandwich is ordered on the day. Menu Breakfast - bacon or sausage sandwiches, with or without egg Lunch - Burger & chips or curry & chips Drinks - tea, coffee & squash available all day (Other items may be purchased from the cafe on the day) Finally, due to the requirements of managing the track entrance I could do with at least one assistant who is prepared to attend and help with organising without driving or alternatively a few drivers to give up driving time to assist. Please message me if you wish to volunteer. For anyone considering a track day for the first time this event is a good introduction to track driving. It is always a great day and a safe way to explore the limits of your car and yourself with only one car on the circuit at a time. If you need any more information on this event, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I will add names to this list as they are booked: 1. Tim Lawton 2. Justin Lever 3. Greg Penney 4. Nick Mucklow? 5. David Burr 6. Ade and Rhianne Parham 7. Andy and Becky Gilbert 8. Tim Foster 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. Reserves Ian Heawood* Pulled out: -

Excellent, I've pm'd you for details. Thanks. -
Aware this is a thread resurrection post, but I have an unused black Pro Alloy tank available... I bought it to fit my Seight, but there's just not enough space in my engine bay which has the older recessed scuttle - everything seems to have been fitted around the original Ford tank (GEMS ecu, methanol injection pump, methanol alloy tank etc etc) so any variation to the original dimensions just wasn't going to work. Gutted that it doesn't work, but I have now become an expert in acquiring and cleaning-up original header tanks! Any interest please send a PM.

Visit to Avro Heritage Museum at Woodford, Cheshire and Vulcan Photo Op. Bank Holiday Monday, 4th May
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) posted a topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
I didn't want to post before the Warwickshire Trip had taken place, so as not to confuse matters! A few members that couldn't make it to the Wellesbourne museum asked if there was any chance of visiting the Woodford Vulcan, instead, so here we are!! As ever, numbers are limited and I need to confirm with them as soon as possible. So please let me know if you'd like to come. They open at 10am, which is when I suggest we meet. Our slot is from 10.30am. "The Avro Heritage Museum warmly welcomes visiting car clubs during the summer season. As part of the visit, car club members get the opportunity to take a group photograph of the vehicles alongside our Vulcan bomber, the only white example of its type in the world. Car club members are charged standard admission prices (£9) plus an additional £3 per vehicle for the Vulcan photoshoot experience. Cockpit tours can also be booked on the day (subject to availability). There is a cafe on site, too, plus experienced museum "floor-walkers" to answer questions etc. How to get there.- 1 reply
