Peak District Run Out, Sun 22 Feb, 10am, Whitworth

    Meeeee!!!!!!!
  4. Meet at the Terrace Cafe, The Whitworth, Station Road, Darley Dale, Matlock, DE4 2EQ, 10am. We have met there a few times before in the large car park, that is free if you input your car registration number into the machine in the cafe within 30 minutes of arrival. From Matlock take the A6 towards Bakewell for 2 miles, when you pass the BP garage on your right look for the traffic lighted pedestrian crossing, pass this to keep going and the beautiful old building on your left is The Whitworth, as signposted. Turn left into the car park, which is a bit hidden, if you go through the speed cameras you have gone too far. (Don't turn left down the big road junction onto Station Road as that will deliver you to the back of the building and we will have a jolly good laugh at you). A day of the usual driving routes and banter on a full board basis, come and join us quick while there is a break in the rain. Who is coming?

    What the postie brought today!

A pair of new wiper blades for me, ordered from Kitcardirect a couple of days ago and arrived today. Looks like they shipped from MK sports cars, is there a link or just drop shipped direct from their supplier? Anyway, fitted already and much better than my old ones which could be classed as ‘smearers’ rather than’wipers’

As track Demon is a better badge than banger racer many might get there and never post again better put a time limit for upward progress or risk being demoted.
  26. Sounds great, would be amazing to do. I’m in Andy Did similar a few years back with ‘Just Jane’ with ….@Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) and @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO East Kirkby, Lincs.
  27. I’m in!
  28. This is a chance to get up close to the Vulcan whilst the crew demonstrate some of the systems, explaining the operations and some of challenges of keeping everything working as it should. Towards the end of the visit we will be able to line up the cars under the Vulcan for a group photo. See the example pic below borrowed from another club! This visit is scheduled to start at 1.30pm on Saturday 18th April, and should last approximately 2.5 hours. We are limited to a maximum of 24 people and 12 cars. This visit is being supported by the club for WSCC members by covering £5 of the normal £15 fee, leaving you £10 per person to pay. Due to the restrictions on numbers I will need bookings in advance, so please PM me your interest. Priority is to Warwickshire Area members first. There is a very good cafe on the airfield so I am proposing to head there for around 11.30am for brunch before the 2 minute drive to the Vulcan for our visit later.
