Should be good in the dry but not as good in the damp as R888R mk sportscars now use them on alot of new cars as they can't get toyos either their track car is almost a second a lap quicker on the nankang over toyo but they say they wear alot quicker too -

To clarify, although I can't see a date mark on the tyres (wwyy format) I believe they were fitted new by the previous owner in approximately late 2021. They were then not driven until I bought the car in may '23. So maybe they're 4.5 years old but haven't had a hard life. Bit disappointing. Thanks for the tip on JD. I did not know about them. R888Rs about £20 a corner more than AR-1s but they are seemingly in stock -

Toyo no longer supply the Uk, some companies will order container loads, these took so long to arrive hopefully having a drive out soon and track day in April too so will try to think on to review -

Hi, I'm converting my Silvertop Zetec 1.8 to Jenvey ITBs so up for grabs is a complete ready to run bike carb instalation fully jetted for a midly tuned 1.8 Zetec. This may fit 2 litre Blacktops etc but you'll need to check if the manifold mountings are the same. The manifold and Nodiz came from Dan ST in 2024 and did just a handful of hillclimbs and sprints before being layed up until now. The Nodiz comes complete with comprehensive wiring loom which simply connects to the standard Ford coil pack and to the R1 TPS The carbs are R1 Yamaha and are freshly overhauled and jetted for the Zetec installation. Fitted with K and N intake filter which would benefit from a new sock/filter sponge but the mounting and frame are AOK The whole thing ran well in my Prelit Westfield including an FTD at Three Sisters Sprint beating a turbocharged 2.0 Redtop engined Westy !!! I'd like to sell as a complete set if possible and I'm looking for £725 Happy to consider good offers for individual items but would prefer to sell as a whole. Collection from Bingley, West Yorkshire or can send by carrier at cost. -

Interested to hear how they are @DannyTGS. I discovered to my dismay last night that the R888s on my 13" wheels seem to have perished in the time my car has been off the road these past ~18 months, and 205/60r13 R888Rs seem to be unavailable. Unless buying part worns from TyreTek (tempting). -

@aeg you won't find any cake under there will you? so hurry yourselves up, it's March next weekend and time to pay the nice tax man. We, however, met at The Whitworth where they sell lots of lovely food, this is us in the car park and this is us in the cafe Dave had to scoot off but it was lovely to see him and thank you for the advice on the steering wheel, 15mm spacer purchased , thank you Ian for the link don't they look after you xx Off we went on a sunny run round the Peak District finally feeling like Spring is coming. We arrived at The Yondermann Cafe and found a nice parking spot next to a friendly Mustang owner, of course he was friendly, he was from Barnsley, a true Yorkshireman. At 4.6 litre and V6, he let me get in and start it up, ooooooooo, that put a smile on my face. Parked at The Yondermann Some had already moved over to summer shorts Chris joined us for lunch and popped along to the next stop for cake too, he's well trained After discovering it was someone's birthday, we had a good excuse to nip down to The Pavillion, Baslow for cakes Parked in Baslow with Ian's black cloud Monkey's Tea Party So that was it, we managed to have a great day out and we didn't get wet, nothing short of a miracle. I was just missing one of my Winter Warriors, Gnasher, I hope he is ok and look forward to seeing him again soon x Thanks for a lovely day out, it's been superb. We are on holiday next weekend but will be back out the weekend after, weather permitting, see you then x -

I was hoping to get on with some of the many jobs to do on my westie today but my little grandson wanted me to build his mclaren 287 pieces later complete perfect colour for a fast car and just like any car rebuild a pile of bits that go nowhere but did have some time left to get started on my toy. -
Thruxton Retro is on again this year and I am planning to go again. Last year I put my Volvo and Westfield on the Retro Rides stand. I wondered this there if there would be enough local interest to have a Westfield (and others) stand. There are a couple of people interested but not enough to have an area on the banking put aside for us. There is a possibility of displaying a car on the Thruxton car club stand, which is a way they cam up with to allow anyone to join in if they weren't a member of any other clubs. I have asked and they would be happy to include a separate stand for us so I wondered if anyone here was either interested of even already planning on going ? There will be slightly discounted tickets available and might be camping. Here is a link to the website which explains a bit more. https://thruxtonracing.co.uk/racing/thruxton-retro
