Hello everyone, Similar to a previous new poster, I have recently sold a previous 'toy' and was looking at the possibility of a Westfield as a replacement. I have parameters I have to work to, such as whatever I get, it'll have to live in a shipping container (dehumidified) due to lack of space at home (kids & family cars etc take precedence apparently... I cant see reasoning myself ) Since it'll be in a container, there are width restrictions so ideally I'm looking at something without doors or that can be kept with the roof off to allow access and a Westie is top of my list. Hopefully I'll have about £10-£13k available, and will aim to factor in the cost of a good inspection by someone more qualified than me (I'm practical to an extent but happy to admit I'm not confident to check some of the more critical areas) What I was really hoping was to meet up with an owner of a widebody Westfield somewhere in East Suffolk or North Essex who would be happy to show me over theirs and if possible let me try it for size (literally) before I head miles off to a prospective purchase only to find I don't fit in it. If there is someone who would be happy to meet up I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance Bob

Engine and gearbox out! Was planning on leaving the engine in, but needed a few mm extra to for the gearbox to clear the clutch plate. In the end I pulled it all out. Not the easiest on your own with a trolley jack but got there in the end! Committed now to a full chassis refresh, fix some rust, have a few extra bars welded in, etc etc etcccccccc.... And get rid of the rats nest thats the wiring loom. The list continues to grow!!

After a black windscreen and mounts/brackets to go with. Located dorset as iam sure posting could be a pain

I think they have a nice suite of cars, especially with an electric version of the Speedster. Good luck to them!!

Progress on making my trailer Westfield suitable

Interesting tale from Caterham and their challenges finding a new engine supplier. Perhaps will help some understand what WCL have been through to get to an Engine supplier. Caterham and the Horse Engine

Just a follow up to your kind suggestion - I changed the tie rods to enable the "proper fitting" of the rack Thanks so much for that advice. I've also now had the 4 wheel alignment done and ride height adjustment.

I think it's all good news, if it sells well enough to be sustainable. Caterham have done very well without revolution, so why not? Then there'll be a solid base for them to hopefully build up the support for existing owners- that's the bit I'm more selfishly concerned about I guess, but this news makes it seem possible.
