  2. Wanted one front indicator pod. When I removed my front indicators I found that one of my “short” SVA nose cone indicator pod bolts is spinning in the plastic so I’m looking for a replacement. Has anyone have any after converting to the Caterham style? Many thanks.

    Courier recommendations

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on which courier is best. I have some large items to sell on, notably a set of new Rainsport tyres and a SBFS hood, so I would ideally need the courier to collect them too. I've only ever sold smaller items on Ebay and used the local Post Office for those. Also, what would be the best way to post the tyres? I've seen rolls of shrink wrap on Ebay and thought I could wrap them in pairs, as long as they weren't too heavy. I've discounted Evri, but any advice or recommendations are gladly received.

Yup,on a y reg so 2001 registered but purchased as a kit a bit before that, and yes still an sc28 model fireblade engine so 893cc although it does go very well, i was suprised just how useable that old fireblade engine is! Its happy round town but does get a bit warm sitting in traffic

    New owner!

Your cars registered 2001, not one of the first ones but near there, the mega range started around 2000. Its an 893cc blade engine according to the V5. I know of 10 different engines fitted to megablade chassis. I've not seen an engine cover like that which could be a copy. If you want vents they are available
  13. Yea, I'm planning to go to Scotland again at some point weather dependant. So far. IOM week booked, not the bike week unfortunately. So far. Don't do track days as I find it pointless

Got the winter blues... Bring me some sunshine ☀️

Get some events booked, at least you have something concrete to look forward to then. We’re doing our first regularity rally in march, got a trip to France sorted in May, Malvern at the end of May, another rally in July and the Gold Cup in August. That’s just for starters👍
  17. First meeting of 2026 is due this week. I'm glad the snow has gone, but it is looking wet later this week! Join us to discuss winter upgrades and Westfield related Christmas presents. Hope to see you there! The Falcon Hotel, Birmingham Road, Hatton, CV35 7HA from 7.30pm.

    Anderton Boat Lift.

Looks interesting, but just seen this on their web site: "Please note: The lift is currently closed due to a fault discovered during routine maintenance. It will reopen once repair works are complete, expected early 2027. Keep an eye on this page for updates on the repairs." https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/things-to-do/museums-and-attractions/anderton-boat-lift-and-visitor-centre-cheshire

    What the postie brought today!

I used to run those tyres (Nankang NS-2R) a few years ago, back when the softer compound (TW 120) was still road-legal, and on a much heavier car (around 1050 kg). They were genuinely good tyres — very predictable and resistant to overheating, even during long track sessions. That said, they were already quite limited in damp conditions, and in the rain they really required a lot of caution. In your case, the 180 TW version is a noticeably harder compound, which may be even less suitable given the very low weight of a Westfield and the likelihood of encountering wet or cool road conditions. On a dry day, they will of course be better than running on 20-year-old tyres. However, for normal road driving, semislicks rarely make practical sense — they take longer to warm up, offer little advantage at legal speeds, and come with clear compromises in wet grip and overall usability. A good modern road tyre is often the more balanced and safer choice.
