in case I bump into it, it protects the cores. my garage is dry, no damp whatsoever, plus there is good airflow round the up and over door and through the eaves. the Halfords car cover is breathable, never had any issues in 16 years, no rust on my car. -
After a caged full fia cage if anyone has one to suit wide body. Must have the special sticker. cheers jez

Happy birthday Paul, hope you’ve had a fantastic day, love from Glen and Julie xxx -
Pair of wing mirrors from my 2001 Westfield. In reasonable condition. One bolt fixing has sheared off on one of the mirror arms. But I'm sure this could be drilled out and a new insert fitted. £15 for the pair ono. Thanks for looking.

Unfortunately, I’m the only one around here driving a Westfield, at least in this area. I really envy you for having such a great community! Maybe I’ll prepare my track-only Westfield for road use for the next season — then I’ll be able to go with one of my sons, or just enjoy watching both of them having fun with the Sevens EDIT : as for "you realize just how special it is to own and drive one" - here , with no other similar cars around it feels from that perspective even more special !

Sorry for delay in reply The calipers were used with 13 inch wheels

You can get the option to have the light move like newer cars direction indicators do. The colours are different ie instead of just red on/off you get white reverse, stop/tail indicator etc then choose which you need

You can see the leak damage (horizontal plate from scuttle in engine bay above passenger feet. I had a rattle and discovered under my tonneau cover way down the passenger footwell the tunnel had all the bolts fell out of the cover plate. So currently it's in bits waiting for fuel filter and hose. And a plate repaint. Here's a good tip. If you have to paint parts use a cheap clothes horse laundry hanger thing to dangle the likes of this plate for repaint.

I'm really starting to like this idea. I'm not going on Temu though, I'm sure they'll have something similar on AliExpress?

3M double sided tape 8mm wide https://ebay.us/m/7Brfwt Has to trim a bit off the length. Inside there's normal led tape like the rolls with places to cut it. Sharp knife and pop off the end cap. Cut to length with knife. Glue the cap back on to keep out water. I already had a high mounted light so run the cable around the top best I could. So the light end you cut ends up at the bottom. Once you have the old tape removed, carefully stick new on. You could wipe the surface of light and cage with brake cleaner on a rag. Start at wire end (mines at top corner) stick on carefully. Add a tie wrap temporary. Work down adding wraps as you go. The bend isn't too bad.. Just steady away getting it as best you can. Once on all round press home and leave it to stick. You could gently warm it with a hairdryer/heat gun to help glue stick best. I've still got the wraps on atm.. Got a fuel pipe to replace later and a filter. Never changed the filter since I got the car 20yrs..😁 There's a leak which has ruined paint.

Yes I go with that i love going out on solo drives when I can really open the taps but then on the other hand we go out on as regular as possible on area club drives I don't know if you have many other westies near you on these drive outs we drive in a reasonably orderly manner but it's seeing a westie in front of you and looking in the mirrors and seeing more behind you realize just how special it is to own and drive one and to be part of such a great club with like minded members

I would just give the car a real good going over and live with the imperfections as 99% of westfield owners do save the dollar for those mechanical failures that turn up unexpectedly and a full summer of fun in 26.
-
On cost alone, this is likely to be what will happen. At least for the time being. Indeed, it looks fine from a few paces, it’s just when you are bent over and washing it that you notice the imperfections. I agree about the original green - it really suits the classic shape. So unless I adopt a race livery, green it will stay, whether left as is, painted, or wrapped.
