Yeah that’s why I want to get better ones, I’ve had issues with this sort before but I can’t see me being in Italy soon, but if it’s another hot summer here, it could be a problem for sure.

Happy New Year to everyone. Tonight should be the first meeting of 2026 but Rob and I thought we would leave it until next week, the 8th Jan. When I rang the pub to let them know they said the heating is out so would not have been pleasant. The meeting next week is conditional on a new boiler being fitted

You can have a gold banner in ten years time, and that’s close to yellow in a dark room.

I think most were orange but a few have faded to yellow.

I love the red banner, but have to say yellow is the colour for a westfield....🤩

Today was the turn of the Spitfire. Replaced the shoes and adjusters on the rear brakes, the dizzy cap, popped a fresh battery on and the old sausage is mobile once more! It hasn’t run well under its own steam since we got back from Classic Le Mans in 2022 with a sticky front calliper. I replaced those earlier this year, but put the Spitfire on the back burner with the arrival of the Westfield. We now have a fully working fleet as I’ve spent my week off doing all the car jobs. 2CV didn’t need anything as it never does, I fitted new discs and pads on the rear of the Volvo (so of course that now needs the EPB coding to behave properly!), the Westfield had an oil and filter change yesterday and a couple of other little jobs and the Spitfire now just needs a good polish and hoover and the brakes bleeding. Van needs an MOT at the end of the month, so that will be next in line. Was going to take the Spitfire for a blat, but it’s just started persisting down, so it’s Netflix and warm up in front of the fire. Happy New Year all!

Concur, similar experience. Also on Safari it hangs if you don’t fill in the Required cells. I’ve shut that requirement off for “Delivery Address 2” because not everyone needs it.

Thanks, found it. Got further through this time, before it dumped me out. Fourth time was the charm though, and got all the way through and paid. FWIW, I think it’s the way pop ups are handled in Safari on the iPad. It’s not always popping up the full next page, with elements timing out. May just be a busy day on the server, and Apple being its usual weird self!

IME, about mid-January. However, no harm if @Mathew Vernon - Membership Secretary sets one aside for you and if you do get it before then, you can let him know. Absolutely hands down the worst time of the year for the post worldwide, so much stuff goes missing it’s ridiculous.

I'm in the USA so I expect it will take some additional time for the calendar to arrive...that said it hasn't arrived as of 12/31. At what point should I ask for a replacement to be sent? dave

As any properly trained husband knows, the 40th anniversary is ruby, hence the new colour for this year is ruby red. Red is also the best colour for a Westfield, contrary to what some might say… 😛

The breakfast meeting is held on the third Sunday morning at 10am at The Darrington Hotel, Darrington, Pontefract, WF8 3BL. January 18th, February 15th, March 15th, April 19th, May 17th, June 21st, July 19th, August 16th, September 20th, October 18th, November 15th, December 20th.
