Should be good for this one -
No idea. Isn’t the 1.8 the same manifold as the 2.0l ? GBS are very helpful…

1800 zetec manifold through to silencer wanted

No actually. Do they do this engine. I thought they used the 2.0l or bigger? - Today

Is this the road between bangor and betws?

Fenders for Seiw, racing green. 2 Rims minilite type 6x13”, 4x108mm, 63,4 center, M12 bolt.

My money's on the orange car.i like good odds

It might, but there’s no guarantees. If the engine is mounted at a different height or if the 4-branches exit the bodywork in a slightly different place relative to the diagonal chassis brace then there’s potential for a clash.

The earlier you arrive the more chance you have of getting together. Woodlands don't allow clubs to Corden off areas -
Have you looked/spoken with GBS cars..
-
GBS cars- kit car spares offer these. Would they be similar enough?
-
I thought it was worth asking. I will just have one made if none are available.

I was thinking of entering speed series this year. This is probably a stupid question, but where do I find my WSCC membership number. I am a paid up member. Also I already have an entry for the Gurston round in another championship. Not that I think I’ll get any points, but will times count for speed series as well?

I first met Dave & Karl when they were based in Brixton. That was a 'fun' experience! Fitted the first of his 16 load site ECUs to our Marcos - sadly, the car embarrassed itself part way through the mapping session when the starter stopped working. We fiddled & faffed for a bit, Karl raided a nearby LandRover V8 for a replacement starter, that sadly didn't fit...we then had the bright idea to test the one we took off(!), found it was OK so refitted it...then while Karl or Dave (I forget) cranked it, I was underneath and spotted the clutch flexi glowing red hot. The engine earth had corroded. Doh. Fixed that and away we went again. Thankfully it was a PTFE lined braided flexi so it took the heat without damage. Very long story short, but I'd fitted the Emerald to cure a persistent issue with the Lucas 14CUX setup the car had. I'd had some machining done and parts supplied by a V8 'guru'. The engine stalled at every junction - couldn't find why. It spent a very long time with the guy who provided me with the parts & tweaked chip for the ECU but he gave up in the end with no fix. You can probably imagine the joy of navigating London in a car that stalls every time you come to a stop. After Dave had finished mapping the Emerald, we drove home and it was transformed. Only quite recently did I discover what the original fault probably was - no road speed signal to the Lucas ECU coupled with a very light flywheel. To this day I think the guy gave me the wrong flywheel.... Anyhoo, that was the start of a long and fruitful (for me) relationship with Emerald. Still have one of their older ECUs on the Westy, the Stratos replica I had with the supercharged Alfa V6 running mapped water/meth injection etc etc was running on a much later Emerald, I've installed them for a few people over the years too and will always recommend them. I know I've tested Dave's legendary patience on a few occasions - hope he forgives me.

I thought it unlikely but thought it worth mentioning in case there was a chance to get hold of anything desperately needed thats unavailable elsewhere. Were they going to be at Malvern as well ?

Sorry I'm away in Scotland -
Hi, it was good to be at Donington again and the Westie went well all day. The only trouble was countless red flags which made things a bit stop start at times, mainly due to cars getting stranded in the gravel or breakdowns. Good selection of cars from 2CVs to Porsche GT3s and a Mclaren! Also several Locosts practising for races next week, which were going well too

Hi Mark, I usually do 5 or 6 per year including all of the tracks you mention and agree that Cadwell takes some beating I have a shared MX5 turbo which tends to get most track use these days, and in fact we will be at Bedford on Saturday in that car

@Mat Jackson 1975 I have one and an ST170 cover. See photos below. Both have been ‘trimmed’ and the blacktop Zetec version has had a lug cut off. Blacktop ST170

Thanks Ian. You're probably right. I've recently had scam WhatsApps too, with both my name and the date and place of a Best Western I've booked. That was a known data breach, but this one isn't. Barstewards
