Hello All, June is approaching and the June meeting would normally be scheduled for this Sunday, June 1st. I'm pushing it back a week to Sunday 8th June because it's at the end of a school holiday week and I know some of you will probably have been away and travelling back that day, plus It clashes with the National Kit Car Show at Malvern, I expect some of you not away will be attending. Unfortunately I'm away next week so won't be able to make it, I'm sure that won't stop you though. I'll be attending the show on Saturday so may see some of you there. Welcome to the club, you are most welcome to join us at the Black Country meet. The meet would normally be this coming Sunday but it's being pushed back a week to avoid the clash with the show. I hope to be there on Saturday so may see you.

I lived just outside Worcester until a few months ago and was almost equidistant to the Black Country, Warwickshire and Cotswolds meeting venues and not much further to the Herefordshire one. Hereford has gone I think, Cotswold has been dead for years but was recently subsumed into Bristol so worth keeping an eye on. But basically your choice is Black Country or Warwickshire

I’m 39 and have a 5 year old, I use mine as often as i can. I only work 3 miles away but would rather do 3 miles in the westy than 3 miles in a Tintop. I have recently fitted a child seat so I can take the boy out for a few little runs and he loves it.

Thought I would introduce myself! Purchased my car off another member on here that happened to be up the road from me in Malvern! it’s a lovely 2000 factory built 1.8 zetec on itbs. Also happens to be 1 of 25 carbon special editions. I will be attending the national kit car show next weekend, but was wondering if there was a local area group for the midlands? I can’t seem to find any details.

Mine got more use when my son was similarly aged than it does now he's in his twenties! It was a treat to pick him up from after school club - perhaps trickier to do with two children. I also used it for commuting during the drier days - it was ridiculously cheap to insure and run so there was some strong man maths element to it too. Never went as far as a daily driver though.

Ash, do you mean the VIN number stamped into the chassis? Or is there more stamping that I've not spotted on my car yet?

Malvern will give you the chance to sit in and try for size many cars. Most people are very obliging so fingers crossed you'll be able to identify exactly what suits and no longer have to run around the UK testing out cars that don't fit you guys! 🤞🤞🤞
