Pair of Windscreen deflectors wanted
Kit Car Electronics and Essex AO replied to KevanP's topic in Parts Wanted
Took lots of thought but only one fixing. The doors sit happily on their own with just a single pin used as a pivot plus a bungy cord. Luckily I'm still flexible enough to thread myself inside 😀 -
Public apologies to Naranga - been a nightmare at work this week… Photos coming tomorrow…

Very intrigued as to how you have fitted your half doors to get them to open like that. Any more photos

Well mine is 2014 fixed arches so I guess it must have done? Unless my tub had been laid up somewhere for years. Not likely.

Julie's away but I don't want to miss the brilliant weather forecast so would love it if any of you like minded people would like to tag along. Appreciate that it is Kitfest this weekend but looking at the ticket prices, I hope that you went on the much cheaper Saturday so able to come out with us on the Sunday Start Matlock McDonalds (DE4 3AU) at 10.30am. After a coffee or Big Mac Meal (if you are @aeg) drive via Youlgrave, Ashford in the Water, Monsal Head, Wardlow, Bradwell, Winnats Pass to have lunch in The Ramblers, Edale (S33 7ZA) - about 1hr 10 based on TomTom thrill settings. After lunch for those who want more... Edale, Hope, Brough, Hathersage, Grindleford, Calver to end up at Baslow Cricket Club Cafe (DE45 1SP) for cake, ice cream or coffee (or all three). Take photos of cake and send to @Andy Westwoodas he is 'working'. About 35min again based on TomTom thrill settings. Who is up for it?? -

Hi All, Firstly the sun is out, Ian's finally back on the road so we were thinking of a trip to the Parrot one evening. This week has been a little hectic for me but hopefully the weather will hold and we can do one evening next week. We also have the Brooklands Easter Classic on Sat 19th and the usual local breakfast club meets on the 2nd Sunday (13th) Let me know which evenings work next week -

Skimming through the manual, it looks like a professional job. Must be a very straight forward build (assembly).

Yep. They've not been a full kit for a while. Their assembly manuals are very nice too- Caterham Assembly Guide SIGMA.pdf -

I've just seen the entertaining new Drivetribe YouTube video of Richard Hammond and his daughter 'building' a Caterham 7. Did they get a head start with the kit or is a Caterham more of an assembly job? It looks like most of the car was pre-built (instruments, battery, brake lines, fuel tank, wiring, etc. etc.), and is it normal to fit most of the heavy items whilst lying beneath the car? Just curious!

@Kenner He's got the car in Greece. We helped get it moved and started in the UK. -

Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO replied to nikos's topic in The Start Line
@nikos the guy who helped get it started etc. Knew the previous owner of your car. He wasn't a WSCC Member and didn't appear to do anything with it. He just collected lots of cars and didn't really work on them. He may be able to put you in touch with him though. -
Hopefully its in someone garage getting ready for some adventures. Found this info on DVLA & MOT history for you.

Pair of Windscreen deflectors wanted
Kit Car Electronics and Essex AO replied to KevanP's topic in Parts Wanted
Hey Kev, here's how my removable polycarbonate windscreen works with a cage, I think you could do something similar for wind deflectors with clamps to the cage: The full cage width screen does seem to give less buffeting than I remember with a standard screen -
