We meet on the Wirral on the Saturday morning, and drive thru North Wales, aiming to get to Llandrindod Wells about tea time. Nice meal in the guest house, and a few scoops. Sunday morning, the Elan Valley calls, then home for tea time. Hope that suits. We can arrange a rendezvous on the Saturday, let me know if you’re up for this. Will be a great weekend. John.

I ended up going to this last weekend and it turned out to be a pretty good event. Due to the theme previous years being Historic and now Retro the Westfield possibly wasn't the most suitable car to take along. It was too late to arrange anything much and initially I'd hoped to enter as part of the Thruxton car club. It turned out for now this was just a way to get more cars in to display but didn't get much interest. I did spot that Retro Rides were trying to get some cars along to take part at the last minute and took the Westfield and my daily Volvo 940. I didn't fancy sitting in sun all day and didn't really want the Westfield getting drenched so taking the Volvo meant I could also bring my pop up shelter, lots of drinks etc.

It's our Area Meet this Thursday, at the Golden Pheasant, plumber. 7.30pm start, 7pm if eating!

I might be up for this. What sort of mileage/driving is the plan for each day?

Just had an update on our stand position at this years show, centre stage on a nice flat field, and i can say it is going to be GREAT! and they have grouped all the kit related clubs together which i also like. I can - but a colour can look great on paper (or another car) and then look naff on a Westie…

If you don't have existing parts to colour match it with, surely you have more freedom to choose whatever shade of blue you like the most?

Has anyone got any fibre glass off cuts of electric blue? I’m looking to paint my car that colour and want to get a colour match…
