Outdoor car cover for the warmer months?

I have one of these. It's just about big enough and is the biggest could fit in to my situation but a bit damp/condentaty in the winter. I could run a dehumidifier in the winter but the back 1/4 is on unsealed ground so I don't think it's be much help. https://www.houseoftents.co.uk/portable-garage/67835.html Very sturdy though, totally unaffected by the high winds these last two years, and there's enough room to work around the car as well, including lifting th engine out with a crane.

  6. Hi all During the Winter months I use an In The Garage outside Car bubble to keep my Westfield nice and safe seems do be doing a great job so far. But wanted to change to something else for the summer as its a bit of a pain to keep getting in and out of the bubble.. Was thinking one of those folding car tents But wanted to see what everyone else uses.. well those people that don't have access to a proper garage anyway haha

2008 Duratec Westfield, auction on PH

Interesting; it does have one, (at least) significant red flag for me; it's got the notorious in-board front anti roll bar, commonly referred to as the chassis-breaker, round these parts. Fingers crossed the mileage is low enough it can be removed before damage occurs....

  9. As long as the weather is good I should hopefully make it up for Saturday.
  10. I’ve been chasing an oil leak that I’d finally whittled down to either the rear main seal (RMS) or the gearbox input shaft seal. I decided to tackle the fix in my own garage for the first time. To make it work, I bought a new low-profile engine hoist that allowed me to drive the car over the legs; this meant I could push the car in and out of the garage to create the space I needed. I managed to get the engine out and back in within a day. Admittedly, the dry sump makes the job slightly more complex, but I bought some AN12 and AN10 caps so I could seal the pipework and pull the tank out while it was still full of oil. Once I pulled the flywheel to check the RMS, it actually looked perfectly dry. The front end of the gearbox, however, didn’t look quite so good!
  11. Anyone fancy a drive out to Oulton Park Saturday, late am/early pm weather looks good. BMW track day, Coffee, chat, Ogle eachothers cars, mooch around the pit and paddock area. I'm planning being there from around 10:30 ish.

    BRDC classic 2026 Silverstone

Great News our application for a Club Display area at the BRDC 2026 has been accepted by Silverstone Events. We have requested a Parade lap and are waiting to see if our request will be approved. This year Silverstone Events have been very specific about the criteria for clubs they are accepting. We have been given a code for you to use to buy Car Club display package tickets. These are not yet on sale so keep an eye on the BRDC web Site. https://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/brdc-classic Please be aware that: For this event, the club have to verify every ticket package sold using our club code has been purchased by a club member. Please DO NOT share the code with any non club members as they will be wasting their money. The Club will not validate their purchase. Your ticket is the only way to gain access to the infield with your car which must be a Westfield or seven type. When you buy your ticket, you will be asked for make, model, year, colour, registration number. You will not be able to split tickets and share as has been done in past events. All tickets will be electronic and you will need to download the Silverstone App in order to receive your ticket and show it upon entry to the circuit. More details will be posted along with the Club code in the members section of the Forum.
