Shifter Lights Homemade

blog-0171491001403774688.jpgI've been asked to put together how I made my shifter lights so here we go

I went to Maplins and bought

A small box

3 x 470k resistors

1x green bright led

1x yellow bright led

1x red bright led

1x small board

1x inline fuse

OVERVIEW

The LEDs are all wired 12v live via the fuse

The earth return of each LED is through a 470k resistor to an earth trigger wire from the ECU

The trigger wires can then be programmed to earth at set RPMs on the ECU

Everything was glued into the box with a hot glue gun

1 Cut board down to size to fit in box

2 lay out components on board and solder

3 drill holes in box for LEDs to poke out

4 Test then glue in place (tie wrap wires to help stop the pulling out)

5 Fit on dash (I used Velcro)

I'll be honest...When I saw the picture, I thought of three man-bits through holes in the wall.

If thats the case, you might want to get the green one looked at.

Could the same be done with 5 LED's by just adding a further 2?

Any direction as to where to find the ECU trigger earth on a Webber Alpha Ingnition system?
