Look what the parcel man delivered today! The JK Composites seats I ordered a month ago; a standard N4246 for the driver side and a modified N3946 for the passenger side to fit in the reduced space that that side has. Keith stretched the area for the hips to be as wide as possible within the dimensions I had passed to him. A perfect fit!

Using Cardboard Aided Design to get the size right of the side panels. Thankfully they are symmetrical so I only had to do this once.
Then transferring this to the stitched fabric.
And then the moment supreme, does it fit?
It does! After that, the tunnel top is easy peasy.

Looking at the results of my spray painting and tears are welling up. It's just the wrong time of season for spray paint; unless you can do it inside in a warm room maybe. Cutting my losses and ordered some black vinyl wrap last week instead. It's too cold in the garage to do this, so am moving into the dining room this weekend

Using the cardboard templates, and having measured it over and over, I 3D printed a little template that will allow me to transfer the hole for the rear stays onto the composite aluminium panel I ordered for the boot lid.
Also threaded the brake light cable through the roll bar

Just doing some stock taking for winter.
The chrome has got to go. The cosmetic roll bar has got to go. The spare wheel has got to go. The chunky rear lights have got to go. The interior has got to go. The windscreen and doors... they may actually stay, although the chrome has got to go .
And then there is of course the maintenance, so will be ordering all fluids and filters to replace. Got to keep myself busy!
