SteveD Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 Steve, Whats invloved with the Cat C stuff. How do you get it unrecorded so to speak? there have been rumours for years you can get cars unrecorded but i have been doing it 20 odd years and have yet to see one so you cant wuv , cat c is recorded on the log book (says vehicle extensivly damaged) blah blah ,which is total rubbish cat d just means the cost of repair does not exceed the value of the car ,you can get a cat c x reg fiesta which needs a new wing ,cat c just means the cost of repair is more than the cars value ,so why a typer civic which needed a wing and bumper painted and new lower wishbone is a cat c beyond me ,but i see this every week wuv ,seen a lotus elise with flood damage that was down as a cat b (for parts only ) the bleedin water had not even been inside the car or even touched the height of the sills ,i had a word with the slavage yard i deal with to contact the insurance engineer to get it changed to a catc or d but he would not budge goodness me i even drove the car around there yard ,where is the sense in that ,it all boils down to the competant or incompetant engineer at the end of the day
