BillyPee Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Now Sold £3,750 ono A one-owner-from-new Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI Avantgarde SE Automatic 4 door saloon in Metallic Silver. It comes with a full Mercedes-Benz Service History and a folder of all receipts so is fully documented for all 10 years of ownership. You can buy with absolute confidence that you are getting a genuine car with genuine mileage that has been looked after and cherished without regard to cost. I was planning to keep the car for a lifetime and this is a very reluctant sale. The Avantgarde SE is the top of the range interior trim level. Airbags for driver and passenger plus front side bags and window bags, ABS, alarm and immobiliser, automatic climate control, heated door mirrors, 7 speaker radio/CD, air con plus other things. The SE means special equipment and adds metallic paint, automatic transmission and auto dimming mirrors. In addition to the top of the range standard features, the car also benefits from desirable optional extras including: Comfort Pack with Bi-Xenon headlights: Electric folding mirrors, headlamp wash and rain sensing wipers. Sports Pack: 5 spoke alloys 7.5Jx17 front and 8.5Jx17 back, cross drilled discs with larger callipers, floor mats, sports gearshift, lowered sports suspension, sports steering wheel, steel and rubber pedals, and sports seats. Black leather interior with heated front seats. COMAND satellite navigation with a genuine Bosch CD. CD changer in glove compartment – 6 disc Bluetooth handsfree mobile phone with steering wheel controls. Tracker The car was taxed for 12 months in September 2013 and the buyer will get to keep the balance. Also, there are over 5,000 miles before it is due the next service. The car was purchased from Mercedes Benz Stockport in September 2003 and has got a full Mercedes-Benz service history also from Mercedes-Benz Stockport. As you can imagine, this car has been very well looked after and as the only owner of this car I can vouch for the genuine mileage (124,000 miles). The interior is in immaculate condition, never smoked in, never had kids in it, never had pets in it, etc. There are a few minor things that need attention but nothing major. I am telling you so you will have no unpleasant surprises. Chances are, like me, you can live with these minor issues. The driver’s heated seat only works on the back of the seat and not on the bottom of the seat. The rear de-mister has about 3 lines not working for about 6 inches on one side. It makes no difference to the clearing action and it simply doesn't justify the expense of a new rear screen. The climate control AUTO button has an intermittent fault where it turns itself off for no reason. This problem hasn’t happened for about 6 months now. It seems to play up intermittently for a few weeks at a time and then go away for a year or more before returning (it started in about 2008). There is an intermittent problem starting first time on very low fuel (>5 miles range). Don't worry as the car always eventually starts and if you fill up when the low fuel warning light comes on you won't experience it. I have had the fuel lines replaced recently by a Mercedes specialist and I have only been able to reproduce the problem once since then (there was about 2 litres of fuel in the tank). There are a few stone chips and very minor cosmetic scuffs which you would only notice if I pointed them out to you. I am regularly complimented on how great the car looks for its age. Whilst there are many Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI’s on the market few have the high level of spec and desirable colour and trim combinations. Even fewer are one-owner-from-new with fully documented Mercedes-Benz service history from the dealership the car was bought from. Rarely will you get a chance to purchase such a well looked after vehicle as this.
Rory's Dad Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Yum yum! Excellent advert but not for me thanks
greenandmean Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Called to see Billy yesterday and this car is absolutely stunning and goes as well as it looks, unfortunately with the dog and all the show equipment it made me realise I need an hatchback rather than a saloon. Who ever buys this gem wont regret it for a moment I'm sure. Good luck with the sale Billy.

Good luck finding the right car, I have to agree that a hatchback (or maybe estate) would better meet your needs.
BillyPee Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 I have thought of a few other things since the original post: The car has Continental SportContact tyres all round, which are the original equipment tyres. 2 are about 6 months old and 2 about 12 month old (annual mileage around 6-8 thousand mile so plenty of tread on the tyres) The car comes with two original keys (one unused). You get the service book, user guide and all other documentation in an original Mercedes pack. Haynes manual thrown in
alexander72 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 very nice car that and it has me thinking...
