Just sat here and wondered how all this WSCC started.

 

Was it one man or a group of friends who just thought they would start something.

Mostly true but the way it was written would easily lead one to think it was 1987. My research in talking to many people shows the club loosely started in late 1986, and got properly on its feet during 1987. This is important for pathetic pedants like me for a number of reasons.
