Nemesis
I know I sound like a grumpy git...... BUT what's the point of Westfield sending me a spammy email about 10%off everything and them using the lightest composites in the world.... I was there 3 weeks ago with a shopping list that included full set of wide-track, complete windscreen package heated or otherwise would have been fine, roll bar, indicator electronics gizmo and other stuff but gave up when I got only one of my items..... a roll bar, I still need a fuel tank, a new set of carpets and all of the other stuff. Furthermore Westfield, I didn't sign up for any marketing emails from you, I provided my address for the purposes of verifying my account to buy stuff, not for you to spam me, stop it...... really stop it or I'll go off on one and get all grumpy with the information commissioner. Rant over....... Can anyone recommend a decent wide-track kit for the ASBO? Regards Nem........

Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
If you have a gripe with Westfield (the factory) why not speak to them This is the WSCC and has nothing to do with Westfield supply problems

Mark (smokey mow)
I got one from Westfield too. Mine has two links at the end of the email, one titled "unsubscribe from this list" and the other "update subscription preferences" have you tried clicking on either of them? :D
Nemesis
I've done the preferences thing... but that's not the point, they shouldn't have done it in the first place..... And yep I grumbled at the factory about the in stock out of stock issues. It makes me almost laugh with despair that they are trying to sell me something new when they can't stock the basics to service my existing kit. I know this isn't Westfield.... I know it's the owners forum..... I was hoping to get a feel for how other people are feeling about the futility of trying to buy anything from the factory !! Nem................ . Captain Colonial
It's a single email and you can opt out. As I'm married to a doctor, you can trust me on this diagnosis - you have too much blood in your alcohol stream. Get your favourite tipple out and apply liberally. Life is too short to get so wound up about such a small thing. Chill and have a great weekend.
Terryathome
Nemesis, good gripe. Its good to vent some steam now and agian. I see your point that you did not want any emails but in these days once they get you info your fair game. I too get the emails but I want them as building a new car and 10% off a car is worth havin, I just wonder if you send me your email I can get 20% off lol. Keep up the good gripes but watch out for the sensible re-posting by others lol Terry

1959grantura
I love a good rant , am I right in thinking the rant is more towards being baited with discount when there isn't actually any stock of anything to discount more than actually receiving the email? Anyway bravo bet you feel much better now
jim_l
...My last two emails from Westfield are below, nothing since, no contact, no part...no hope. No rant, no angst, just 'OK that's is the way it is' - I simply don't believe they are serious about the parts business. Date: Thu, 20 Aug 2015 08:36:16 +0000Hi Jim,Yes the pedal has been ordered. We have recently outsourced our fabrication, meaning that an accurate lead time isn't available currently. As soon as I know when they are due to arrive I will let you know Date: Tue, 11 Aug 2015 12:59:12 +0000 Hi Jim,Ye we can supply this part, It will take us around 2 weeks to produce the part. Blatman
You'd think they would be doing better with customer service seeing as the business is for sale I was hoping to get a feel for how other people are feeling about the futility of trying to buy anything from the factory !! There are very few things that MUST be bought from the factory. I appreciate that if we want Westfield to survive we should support them by buying stuff from them and try to avoid negative reporting when things don't go our way. But this is a two way street. If Westfield have the stuff we want (parts for cars they sell...) we wouldn't be (pretty much forced in to) sourcing elsewhere. For what it's worth I haven't bought anything from the factory since the mid 90's because of similar issues. Seems like things are roughly the same.
