Terzo204
I need to get a few things done on my SEIW for the trackday/sprint season. Have been to NMS before and have been very pleased, but it's a bit of a trek for me. Does anyone recommend a garage near to Bristol. I have a friend who mentioned Corinium Motorsport. Has anyone used them before? Thanks, Mike
Steve M
I live just over the bridge from you (Newport) I was thinking of trying Interpro in Bristol, but after reading a few bad reviews I decided it had to be N.motorsport, as you said it's a fair old treck but worth it for peace of mind
M444TTB
How near Bristol are you? Neil Garner come highly recommended out near Kemble.
jeff oakley
Interpro are very good for engine work and rolling road set up, I highly recommend them. If you speak with Neil in service reception tell him I sent you and they will look after you. As for bad reviews, the problems with any tuning company is the expectation of others. They spend a fortune on bits after reading on the internet that this will give you X power and when a proper rolling road gives less than expected it is their fault. If it is suspension related then Track developments are great. No fancy premises just good knowledge and experience.
Dommo
To balance that out, Interpro did a pretty poor job of setting my starlet turbo up in years gone by. Whether they've improved or not I don't know but there's plenty of choice out there for me not to need to go back and see.
wackydo
+1 for Track Developments for suspension work.
Terzo204
Thanks for the recommendations gents. i'll be sure to check them all out. Neil Garner: Good and profession but very expensive - they also left me with an exhaust that rattles against the chassis which is now on the list of jobs to do.... Track Developments: I know Dave and he's a top bloke - but i don't need any suspension work. Anyone used Corinium Motorsport before?
wackydo
>> Corinium Motorsport They seem to have a nice web site. The other place maybe, is Circuit Motors at Castle Combe, though I've not been there for some time.
GuitarmanUK
I haven't used them myself but here is another option.http://www.trackdaytoyz.co.uk/.
CrisisWolf
Will watch this thread for the list to grow as I am in Bristol too. I'd been recommended http://www.andersonracingengines.com/ which are in Timsbury, Bath way. Not used them myself tho.
Terzo204
I have seen track day toyz at a few track days now. I didn't know that they did servicing. I must admit I'm leaning towards Corinium.
jeff oakley
What exactly do you need doing to the car? Is it basic stuff or in depth? The radical experts may indeed be good at preparation, but if it is a race engine you want building then there are a few who are good, but you pay a price. Anderson Race engines are highly regarded especially on Ford Units. Chris Bradley who is an infrequent visitor to this site now, threw his wallet to them and can out with a 2.0ltr Zetec with 252 BHP with all the bells and whistles you could want. Terzo204
Jeff - sorry I took so long to reply. I was away for Christmas. I need general trackday prep so I think I'll give Corinium a go. Engine work will be next year I think
