Harveymoon
Did the first pre-lits have an aluminum body and the later ones have fibreglass? Just looking on ebay and there is a fibreglass one for sale. Oh and hello all.
Mark (smokey mow)
Did the first pre-lits have an aluminum body and the later ones have fibreglass? Just looking on ebay and there is a fibreglass one for sale. Oh and hello all. Yes, the first couple of hundred had an all alloy body with the exception of the nose and arches which were GRP. The later cars had an all GRP body tub. welcome
mhc
In the book (The Westfield Story) I believe a figure of 132 is quoted as the number of ally bodied Westfields built. They were very expensive at the time so if you have number 1 or 132 it might be worth at least a few thousand .
darrellhuth
Just wanted to say thanks once again to everyone who helped me with your pictures. Thanks to them I was able to mount my radiator.....Tight fit ! A few more questions....... XFlow motor mounts for this Pre-Lit frame....Anyone know if they were factory made or was it "roll your own " ...? Better to have a "pusher" electric radiator fan or a "puller" ...? Thanks, Darrell
Captain Colonial
A puller, definitely. Much more efficient.
