RAF Cottesmore thoughts...

Some good, useful comments here so far. My overall summation (for it's worth and having been there on the day) is that Cottesmore is a good venue, well organised and the right mix of club members in attendance. If we had doubled the numbers it would been even better for the club, if the sun had come out it would been even better for the drivers!

I'm up for it again, rain or shine, gaffer tape or none. Cottesmore seems (to me, a mere novice) to offer the right mix of the technical and the outright gun it to see what happens with plenty of space to learn and keep out of harm.

As to the day choosen for the event... Weekday or Weekend is fine for me. Weekend better so I don't have juggle work commitments and lose a days pay, but happy with a weekday given appropriate notice (which is a theme running through this particular thread).

I will certainly take up the generous Javelin offer and get back soon. Do we start a new thread to gauge opinion on the date? I'll take advice on that one... but I'd be more comfortable going with other members and our Westies.

My thanks again to all involved in the organisation and to those who egged me on to get out there - looking back I would not have missed it.

As has been said, these Club trackdays are a key part of what the cars and the club are all about. Top that off with the Area stuff that goes on and it can't be beat.

As things pick up and with a little more commitment from members I do see us being able to do a track and an airfield WSCC only day each year which would be fantastic and the right thing to do.

they have another day at cottesmore on  fri 23rd sept only £99  

I notice that one is on a shorter 2.7 mile circuit.. no idea of the layout.

I'd love to do another, but due to commitments, the earliest one for me would be the Oct 9th (Sunday) Any good?
