Just rang a place in blackburn , listed as a webcon agent who arent able to do the work !! excellent ..not

they can order the parts for me but i will need to supply the part numbers , brilliant again ....not

Thanks Paul i will let me show you yours  :0 on wed, but i havent ordered the parts yet though - would ideally like to find somewere that will do it for me if i cant but that looks like being a task in its self !!

BTW should be bringing a new recruit with me on wed  :D

Cheers Si,  :D  just spoke to the guy in blackburn again , they have got a rollin road there which is handy as its only 15 mins away  :D he is going to phone weber technical for me to find out what is involved and get back to me, i am not going to have the parts for this wednesday but will get them ordered next week if ness  :)

Sorry to break up the battle lads,

Wrightster, When I built my previous car with the Weber Alpha carb kit, I bought the throttle position switch ( used to give 3D mapping) direct from Webcon, if you phone them up and tell them you're set up they will be able to advise you of the part reference, If I recall correctly I paid approx. £35 plus postage.

If Marcus is reading he has a set of fitting instructions and part numbers in the build file for his car and my be able to bring such info to wednesday's meeting.

As mentioned above you need to get you're carb's set up/balanced first and then fit the switch, this simply bolts on to the carbs on the right hand side and has a moving arm that locates onto the end of the throttle mechanism. A basic electrical multimeter is also required to set it correctly, takes about 5-10 minutes.

right sorted now, 49.00 for TPS from standard autoparts , 70.00 for rollin road session and about 10.00 for fitting TPS sounds reasonablish  :)
