lippydave Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Find a dirt cheap Toyota Camry V6 auto. Get a supercharger for it from the States. Slot V6 and charger into my ultra cheap mk2 Toyota MR2, bolted up to manual box, and blow off my pal's high cost Lotus Evora..... Same basic formula as Elise/Evora with added Toyota-ness, and much cheapyness... Quote

I was going to fit a Westfield RAC style roll bar as with the detachable support bars it looked simpler to fit and retain the bootbox. Quote

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 West field RAC style roll bar Sorry for being pedantic, the WF bar isn't an RAC style bar, or an RAC approved bar, or MSA or any other Motorsport organisation, and I don't think it ever has been. WF just decided to call it the "RAC bar", for many drivers the bar is just not high enough for genuine safety, it might offer your torso a little bit better protection in a roll than the STD bar, but your head would still be in trouble. As a proper safety item, the Playskool bar IS a better bet, think it may be MSA approved too. Course the downside is using it with weather gear. You can't. Quote
