echoz Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Is this national take offence to every thread created day I have no idea how its run so it would be impossible for me to comment on how i think it should be run instead Quote
Blatman Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 As if the factory would listen anyway. When, exactly, was the last time the factory took a suggestion from the Boardroom and implemented it? As an exercise in futility, it's right up there... Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Caterham are launching an 'all new' car at autosport. Rumours that it will take the Radical / XTR2 route Quote
echoz Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I heard they aren't very good with parts delivery Quote

When, exactly, was the last time the factory took a suggestion from the Boardroom and implemented it? As an exercise in futility, it's right up there... Apparently IIRC, Justin commented on the thread about Fifth Gear's gubbing of the new Sport Turbo that he does listen to comments about how the company is run .. maybe that's all that's done, I don't know. I love this thread .. I think we're all suffering from a little cabin fever wth owt to do with all this snow and our westies hold up for the winter! My tuppence - review your prices .. you're b****y extortionate!! Quote
Blatman Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Julian, not Justin. I think you have cabin fever Yeah OK, they "listen". Then they decide to do something else... usually... Quote

As an exercise in futility, it's right up there... Is it really tho'? What about if someone from an aftermarket company spots a genius suggestion by a contributor(1) and decides to manufacture a suitable component? (1) Highly unlikely, but still more interesting than poxy avatars....Whoops! admin. there's another inclusion for the swear filter... Quote
oioi Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 As an exercise in futility, it's right up there... shirley an exercise in futility is posting in the meaningless chat section of the boredroom? but we still do it as it passes the time of day. for mark to p1ss on someones chips for wanting to have a chat about where westifled could go next seems to me to defeat the whole point of the chat section. you cant show your t**s, you cant talk about westifeld cars, you cant even call all cat..................... echoz Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Was thinking that, everywhere you go there's a chance to say your thoughts on teh service you receive? this is no different in a way? It's all getting a bit hot under the collar in here, maybe everyone should take there laptops out in the back garden for an hour Quote

True but you never know, give enough monkeys etc...... Quote
Blatman Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 It's a fair point (in answer to LippyD). Let me put it this way... As of about 1996, Westfield stopped producing anything of worth other than the chassis, bodywork, rear uprights and wishbones. With the exception of the chassis and rear uprights, you can get *everything* for a Westfield from an alternative supplier. The alternative supplier can usually supply the same part, from the same manufacturer, usually at a lower cost. Westfield have since stopped producing bodywork and (I think) chassis in house. So they make nothing. Except for bad choices maybe... Quote
Mark Stanton Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 sorry wasn't meant to be peeing on anyones chips just that its all old ground and poxy isn't swearing ?? is it a pox is merely a disease such as smallpox or a dose of the clap Quote
Seven Up Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Good evening everyone, Discussing very interesting. I'm in France and does not include the distribution system westfield in our country. Caterham has sold 200 cars in France in 2009 and 2010. Their success is a very interesting distribution system and works very well. The plant book directly to four vendors who shares the official territory in France. Lot of communication with the forum in France sevener, organization Caterham Cup, attendance at car event. Westfield to be still very low in France despite a very good car which in my eyes and better than the Caterham. In France Westfield to just one importer who has no dealer. I'd like to understand, and want to sell new Westfield France. I hope you understand my very bad English. Tomorrow Nick Algar Plays Cool come visit me, I hope we can ride with our toy and explain clearly the situation in France. Quote
windy Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Westfield should look at reducing the cost of some of their components. Most manufacturers do it in production at some stage, usually a year down the line after introducing a new model. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Hasn't been a new model for years only re-named sevens to suit whatever engine is fitted last all new model was the XTR range which to be honest hasn't sold that well Quote
