andyfiggy2002 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 what makes this site different is its a builders site so most of us have been through the trials & tribulations of self build & can empathise when it comes to helping others Quote

Bob Green Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 What makes this site great? Well, just about everything. I don’t get to meet many fellow members but I have to say two guys stand out to me. One guy lives darn sarf (you know, where civilisation and streetlamps are) and have to say his knowledge, thought and logic process is second to none. I have never met him but if I was Alan Sugar, I would not have a poxy TV thing to find a person who knows Jack s**t about life, I would employ someone who clearly thinks outside the circle; the person I am thinking of. Now the other one, in an effort to keep a perfect balance, is not what could be considered as shy, retiring and reserved. By this you can already understand I am talking about a guy who inflicts, with great aplomb, the northern hemisphere of this country, with a little dry humour. I met him, all too briefly, at Curborough this year and he came across as a good guy. Then I realise what this guy does for fellow WSCC owners. To be utterly commended. Is it a great site, well, the Keyboard Warriors need not answer but for the rest of the good folk, yes it is. Quote
samcooke Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 £6000 deposit on credit card , and £46,000 loan for 3 yrs. ==> no house, no mortgage - so it was doable. Typical *modern* Porsche owner possibly. Enthusiasts of older Stuttgart cars are sensible, wise handsome and witty. Quote
