daveblissett Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 hello Arm i dont manage the company car scheem but i have run many company cars over the years both fully paid by the company and as currently through a allowance the comparison can be quite complicated due to the changes in your tax code and the milage you do on business. i would be happy to help but i wont be putting personal details like this on the forum i am going to goodwood FOS if it can wait till then i would be happy to chat about it as i seem to remember you are going. cheers dave Quote
jerryhzx12 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 A few years back, we looked into this at the place I was working, and the general view at the time was that the cost to a business or running company cars (fully financed including private mileage), as about 1/3 of the list price of the vehicle per annum, assumed a 3 year turnover of cars. We offered therefore to substitute this figure for a company car. Hope that helps. Quote
ACW Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 we use 6K p/a and max mileage rate 25p/40p or we supply a company car (A4 Avant) and all fuel. With the tax disadvantage previous most took the money, but now people are changing back to company cars due to higher fuel costs and no change in tax limits for mileage. Most engineers are doing 20-30K miles / annum. Quote
