tcc21racing
Hi i am looking at buying a westfield to use on trackdays and for sprint/hillclimbing. due to my budget i am prob looking at a cross flow engine westie. I have seen westfield with both 4 speed and 5 speed gearboxes, which is best? can anyone please advise me on the pro's and con's of each for this sort of use? skids
torque is the answer to that . 294 hp and loads of torque and 4 speed is fine ,only use about 2 gears on the track

Arm
Thats a useful answer Skids. Dont worry too much if its a 4 or 5 speed. The 5 speed will give you a cruising gear - if you want to go cruising. The 4 sp will give you a nicer change. Make sure the rest of the car is good first.
