Blade Oil Issues VDO sender

Hiya Guys,

Right now here is the issue.

My VDO sender has given up the ghost after only 2000 miles  :bangshead:

After reading up on here I have decided to mount the new one on a piece of pipe from Think Auto.

Now this is where the problem seems to be:

I call Westfield and they say the VDO guage (0-10bar) is a 1/4 NPT thread.

I call Think Auto and they say that seems too big and they think should be more like 1/8, "double check" so I did a search on here and most I could find confirmed 1/8 so that is now ordered.

However this is where I am confused just taken out old sender and it bolted into a solid addapter.

Perksy from here had checked my oil pressure earlier and has confirmed that he used a 1/4 BSPT thread to check. So I kick myself and hope the solid adapter is to convert the blade engines 1/8 into the 1/4 we used but when I have taken it out the thread on the other side is even bigger!!!!  :arse:  :arse:  :bangshead:

What is going on please?????

Also would you fit a pressure warning light too I think so and wandered what pressure I should get the light to come on.
