Weber DCOE 40 Refurb Kit

Recommended Posts

I've never played around with carbs, always been reluctant for some reason.

Anyway, the floats appear to be knackered in my carbs because fuel leaks out the trumpets if I leave the ignition on (fuel pump running). There are no leaks when the engine is running.

How easy would it be refurb them using a refurb kit?

Hi bean

I refurbed mine a while back (also rechoked/jetted them) and it was very straight forward - just take careful note of whats come out from where.

I also had a slight leak and it turned out to be a knackered needle valve once i got in there.

I'd had very little experience previously and found it quite interesting (sad eh?! ) ... theres an exploded view of the dcoe 40 on the webcon site which is handy for reference aswell :t-up:

Thanks DC, I'm sure it's well within my means.

Carbs have always scared me, time to stop fannying around and get on with :p
