Stuart
Since Westfields are most often low mileage vehicles, is it necessary to change the oil and filter once per year? I have done 1600 road miles since I changed (full synthetic) oil and filter one year ago - do I need to change it again?
Thrustyjust
some modern engines can run 20k between oil changes. My Zetec does about 2.5k between 'annual' changes and to me £23 for oil and filter is peace of mind. The miles it does is not pootling at 30mph and the engine is used harder than I use my family car.The choice is yours, but I do find that during my winter layup, even with a dehumidifyer, the moisture in the engine is there and contaminating the oil,as seen on the underside of the oil cap, hence the peace of mind. Blatman
Annual changes for the road car, usually after the winter. Sprint car gets changed every 10 events, which probably means every 50 miles or so...

Agree fully with Blatters. For sprint use I change ester/PAO and filter at least three times per year. And before Andy gets smart- ed, that doesn't include forced changes caused by large amounts of oil on the track at Ty Croes
