congorobot
Hi all, I have just bought a 2L zetec to replace my crossflow. I would like to replace the sump, and was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to the one that westfield do?

congorobot
Thanks for the replies! I am converting from a crossflow with type 9 box, and have been told that the bellhousing would be compatible. Looking at it today though it would only seem to be possible with a new sump. The zetec sump struck me as being unusual though, as its in two pieces. Never seen that before. I take it they would want both?
jak
Quote from Scholar website: Outright price £180.00 + vat Exchange price £155.00 +vat Post & Packing £10.00 + vat Later two piece sumps are not exchange.
congorobot
Just had a look at scholars web site. Now I see They dont exchange the two piece sump. Never mind, still £95 cheaper than Westfield.

ljsanders
I don't know if it will fit, but I've got a WF sump from my 1800 zetec going spare after upgrading to a Raceline sump.
congorobot
I have spoken to Westfield and Scholar today. The sump on the speed sport I am told will not fit the blacktop. Scholar do a sump that does fit the blacktop. Total cost inc. delivery £223.
Chasmon
Might be interested in the Westfield sump.... Mines all packaged up and ready to send to Scholar, but I haven't actually aprted with any cash yet.
MAT1800
I wonder how much the Standard sumps will fetch on Ebay?
kevip6
Will the scholar sump fit the black top Answer is yes I fitted a Scholar Sump to my Black Top 2 ltr Focus Zetec. You can see all the fitting details Here including all the initial problems i had. But Scholar were very helpful and sorted out any modifications / missing bits very quickly. You will probably need to get them to provide you with a windage tray as they don't normally and the original sump has it built in to the upper sump.
