conibear
Should I delete it then? I haven't been there but know they exist
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison
Does anyone remember that guy called Syd's Tuning Shop that used to go to the kit car shows with a mobile rolling road? Look him up. A class act. Perhaps he does home visits? My personal preference is Steve Greenauld and Dave Walker. I've been to both and was very impressed on both occassions. I've also been to Aldon Automotive in Stourbridge but not for a few years. They used to be good but I havent had any reports of anyone using them for while. I've never been to NMS for a session but my confidence in them was upped when I went along to a club talk there a few weeks ago. Maybe I'll try them when the need arises. bill shurvinton
For a hub dyno Pip at WGT auto developments in Northwich is recommended. Bit of a haul for some, but he is a good guy. Specialises in rotary engines ( built that 13B engined westfield that was banned from the WSCC for being too fast (sorry loud)), but an engine is an engine and a good tuner can tune anything. Blatman
Point of order... it wasn't banned from the WSCC, it was banned from the BARC Westfield Race Series which had absolutely *nothing* to do with the WSCC at all.
bill shurvinton
But both series had 'Westfield' in the name? Shows how much attention I pay as I thought the westfield speed series was the only series. I stand corrected but still recommend Pip for a hub dyno
davidgh
I've had very good experience with Mech Repairs in Cheltenham. Indeed I had -- last year. I consider what they did for me this year to have been sloppy -- and the accompanying invoice was about 50% per hour greater than last year (still in discussion). Recommendation withdrawn
hixxj
Can I check what a mapping session and general tune should cost? Thanks
stu999
Best ringing the operator you are thinking of using they - will vary. Most work on a 'per hour' basis + parts if required, so will depend on exactly what you want doing.
gee_fin
Interactive list of rolling roads with locations/directions - www.racedandrallied.com/rolling-roads.php When I get some time next month I'll be separating this out into a new site to allow ratings, comments and dyno uploads along with the features/specialisation(s) of each one... just a bit snowed right now

gee_fin
Cheers, I've taken the first steps to make a standalone site of it to allow users to post ratings, reviews and comments and for the owners/site admin to expand a little on the facilities they offer. Bit snowed right now, but would like to think it'd be live in a month or so. Cheers, Graeme.
gee_fin
Posted this in general the other day, but just to keep this thread up to date, the new site is live at - www.rollingroadregister.com
MAT1800
Nice! Cheers Although just to be picky.. To be able to auto zoom into the various regions would be a nice feature to add in your spare time.
