what  bhp can I expect from the various engines

Has anyone fitted a Vw/Audi 1.8 turbo engine? Regularly read reports of 200-350hp and cheap as chips now.

 

Just dyno'd mine

 

207whp @ 6550rpm; 210lb/ft @ 3600rpm

 

I'm a bit worried if the Ford type-9 gearbox holds up for this

What bellhousing are you using for the 20vT to type9?

Played around with the VEMS ECU dual map function, so a trigger switches between a low boost and a high boost map

Previous owner has changed pistons with oversized(je),rods and had made rectification and now it is 1195cc

Flywheel 175 bhp

Compressed low cr forged XE with XE cams 285hp at o.45 and 395 at 1.05 and 50kgr torque. new 87lbr injectors and dyno soon.

 

N\A 1.4 XE with mantzel inlet,shrick 264 cams supersprint and remap at 130hp,soon it will be done in a 1.8 stroked form with piper cams.

 

Turbo 1.4XE at 150hp

 

Turbo  1.6XE small block turbo at  230hp and 31kgr torque

 

Turbo  1.8XE small block stroked turbo at about 280hp
