Westfields Rock On 0
Porsche BoxterS decided to have a try. I think he was p******** off as his new £xxk car was beaten by a £5000 beauty.
kennedyj 0
You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself, you really spoilt that man's day. BTW I met up with a Porsche driver who I had embarassed (had his girlfriend with him) and he told me he had let me go because "we had the windows open and your exhaust was deafening us..". Yeah, yeah . -JohnK

ricdiggle 0
I got left for dead by a new 911 Turbo in my blade. And all the corners in world would not have helped! They are unbelievably quick! It was doubly annoying because the Porker was being piloted by my dad. Still, he let me have a play before he sold it. It scared seven shades of S*** out of him! Tom Cruise was right when he said, "Porsche... there is not substitute." Sorry boys.
ricdiggle 0
Mind you, Audi TTs are fun. Just keep changing gear at about 8,000 RPM. Get it into third gear and just when he thinks he's doing great, use the remaining 4,500RPM and wave goodbye to him. I did this a few months ago and the guy's face was a picture at the next set of lights. Thought he was going to get out and kill me! My laughing so hard didn't help. Tom Cruise was right when he said, "Porsche... there is not substitute." Sorry boys. Porsche's are f*cking quick. On the sprint/hill scene a lot of the faster Porkers (like the RS versions) will be quicker than most of the kit cars! Never underestimate any supercar. Has anybody noticed the record times at Harewood for the kit cars and a roadgoing EVO 6! Ian
Peter Cox 0
Tom Cruise was right when he said, "Porsche... there is not substitute." All the resources at his disposal and still his grammar is not correct. Oh, I mean Cruise...not you Riggle
kennedyj 0
There are Porsches and Porsches. Most modernish 911s have my repect and ones with a turbo are manic. On the other hand some 911s and Boxsters are not as quick as their owners think they are. Anyway, enough of this Porsche baiting. -JohnK
Westfields Rock On 0
so a Porsche would leave my little red bandit?! I want to cry. I'd av a go. Who on this board has the fastest westy??? Please tell. Do you think i could beat a carrera?
ricdiggle 0
Which Carrera? A 993 or 996? A 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive? I kept a new Carrera 4 at bay for ages until we got to a nice long straight. Then he went off. If you can goad the driver into turning off the traction control and then lifting off the throttle mid corner then you might stand a chance. Just be content that your car cost about a tenth of the price of the cheapest new 911 and it's still quick enough to scare it.
ian crocker 0
Who on this board has the fastest westy??? Please tell. Do you think i could beat a carrera? Whoever bought Guy Gibson's car ? Try doing some speed events to answer your own Q. The stopwatch is a brutal friend Ian

Blatman 698
Adding twin webbers will have 2 effects. 1. You will get more horsepower. How much depends on the condition of the rest of the engine. Add to the cost of purchase a couple of hours on the rollers to get them set up correctly. If you want to know how much more power you will get, you need to get a power run done on the rollers before you swap the carbs, then go back to the same place after the swap, so you get comparable readings. Do NOT miss out on a rolling road session. 2. Your fuel consumption will double....................
