Just been out and tested the new screen.

Yeah, yeah, I know, a long time between fitting and testing, but the weather over here's been sh!te.

Anyhoo, it's a bit windy... :suspect:

Looks like a skid lid will be more useful than I first thought! :D

Martin,

Im going to fit one of these screens post SVA. Can you tell me the height of your mirrors from the bottom of the scuttle.

MUD tells me his are 8 1/2" above the scuttle line, but his is a Westfield aero. dont know if theres much difference between them but I coud do with knowing before start drilling holes.

cheers

My mirrors are actually fixed to the screen, do you still want dimensions?

Yes please. I dont think I made myself clear. I am SVA ing without the aeroscreen but wiil be fitting a PKM one later. However ive got to attach my mirrors to the scuttle in the meantime. The idea of the measurement is so that when I fit the aero it will cover the holes in the scuttle. I can then attach mirrors to the screen as you have done. If you seen what i mean.

Sort of... :D

Anyway my mirrors, which are SPA Formula's, are mounted 250mm above the scuttle/body tub joint. That dimension is taken to the ball joint in the centre on the mounting base.

Edited to add: At that height there is no need to fix to screen and scuttle, the mirrors can be bolted striaght to the screen with suitable length bolts.
