How about a regular section (to make use of the colour and space) and have a photo competition - say, 4 entries per issue, and then a prize (just the accolade) at the end of the year etc.  Awards for funniest, most thrilling, etc...

Yep great - you need to send this info, idea and photos directly to the mag Ed  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

if the WSCC bring out a binder to store issues?!?!?!?!

Good one - please send your suggestion to the Merchandise Sec  :D  :D  :D  ;)  ;)

Another great issue, definately prefer the A4, no posty problems at all with my copy. Perhaps I've just got an oversized letterbox

If it means my subs go up by a fiver or even a tenner to pay for the better mag, I'm in favour

Me too [/bandwaggon jumping mode]

Thanks for comments on the mag. It's always good to know that one's work is appreciated.

Seems there might be a problem with a few copies of the mag -looks like the GST machine had a wobbly and stitched some issues with too many of some pages and none at all of others. If this has affected your copy, let me know and i'll sort you out a replacement with the correct pages in the right order.

Photographic competition is coming - see next issue.

Binder also coming.

Other things also coming... watch this space

Prefer the A4 format. Another excellent mag.

Obviously even better cos I managed to get in a picture. (passenger with Chris Bradley in the B&B offering)

BTW coast 2 coast also looks excellent. Will have to try an work that one in to the diary for next year.

Agree with everything that's been said so far. The A4 format looks superb and is a real credit to the club and all those involved in the production of it.

A4 for me as well... gives a much more professional image to the club, bearing in mind for those people wandering around kit car shows looking at what to buy, it will be one of the first things from the club they really have any contact with.

As Blatman says (I think I might have said it when the last one came out as well...) I'd be prepared to pay a little extra for the A4 format... and extra £5 would be a no brainer.

I like the full colour format but I don't like the fact that it gets ruined by the post.

Having spent a long time writing the C2C article it's dissapointing that my own copy is not in a fit condition to keep for future reference and to use as a show piece to gain support for next years event.

Something that thin in an a4 enevelope will always get folded by the posty as it feels like a letter and in my opinion this is not a big enough trade off to have a full colour production

I also agree the latest format is excellent & a credit to all involved. I'm also a member of the RS owners club & their mag is colour A4 size, WW is definitely on par with it now.  :t-up:

One regular feature in the RSOC mag is a couple of pages of members cars, I know it's similar to the photo idea already suggested but how about a page or two per issue of peoples cars without lengthy text, as most people are put off sending material in if they feel they must write a lengthy article due to writers block etc, whereas a nice pic of their car with a very brief description takes no time at all & gives people a good opportunity to see cars that may not be seen at shows, meets etc.

Keep up the good work,

Mark.  :)

So if we're talking subs increase to cover the better quality magazine, how much extra would also using cardboard backed envelopes add to the production costs?  Or would your postperson ( :D )then just leave it on the doorstep in the rain then...

Would probably be a cheaper option if we were to do a collection to buy Studbuckle a wider letterbox for his postman to use save him folding his magazine  :D  :D  :D      :D    :D

:p

I'm sure i'm not the only one to have a postbox, not a letterbox in the door ;)

I suppose I could always get SWMBO to iron it for me every other month
