Probably  :D  :t-up:

Ian,

The engine itself is standard and should be giving out the 192bhp as stated by Westfield????

Emmissions nearly failed as detailed in origional posting, I think this high reading may have been partly due to still having the 'Running in oil' in the engine???

ECU - Webcon / Raceline throttle bodies.

Nice work Glen - just have to see how close I can get, both in weight and speed, with the toyota engine in mine next year....

Glen, my engine was brand new as well, but can't see why that should make any difference. Mine failed on natural idle and Lambda reading, which resulted in Weber reprogramming their ECU. If you have any doubts contact Weber direct they can re-chip it FOC, probably over phone or maybe take your car in.

Enjoy it mate  :t-up:

[quote Do you recon that the Freelander diff saved much of that, I've heard there quite light.

Andy

P.S. What Ratio's the Diff.

]

Andy,

Freelander 4.09 LSD - weight with NO oil in - 18.2kg

Sierra 3.92 NON lsd with oil IN - 27.1kg

Allowing 1kg for oil, this works out at a saving of 7.9kg for the diff itself, I suspect a further saving is made by the driveshafts as they are tripoid joins rather that the lobro (spelling?)type.

Freelander drive shafts - L/H 6.6kg, R/H 6.8kg (longer in length)

Anyone got the weights of the sierra type driveshafts??.

Crumbs, you had a heavy old sierra diff there - did that weight include any of the lobro joints?? ???

I weighed my Sierra diff with Quaife ATB (read: heavy! ) innards, at the time with a 3.62 ratio, at 25 kg.. :0???

I know the duratec is a light'ish engine(maybe 15Kg less than VX)

Andy you want to check your scales a VX weighing under 120kgs is a light VX

From Flukes web site

All steel Vx engine, ultra-light 5.5" clutch and flywheel, touring crank, Arrow rods, Cosworth pistons, Jenvey throttle bodies, dry sump pan, dry sump pump, hi-lift cams. No alternator or engine mounts. 112.8 Arnie Webb

I think it posted on Racelines web site the Duratec weights in at 95kg's and a K is 93kg's
