Wheel ramps - are they useful for a Westfield?

I've honestly never had a problem just driving up onto my ramps and getting on with stuff.

if find those ramps tricky or don’t like them. 
 

I pull my car onto these low profile ramps so front car is higher. so i can then Jack it up as front of my car is too low for the low profile Jack to go under without hitting nose cone or side of the car. Then I use axle stands for it. But I still get decent high to change oil or mess around cleaning. But if want more hight/room those ramps or axle stand will be best.

I've thought about something like this as I've got a converluted system of home made ramps and blocks to get the car high enough to get the ramps under. 

It wouldn't pass any health and safety tests.

Have a pair of these and find they give you the hight to get a trolly jack underneath and then use axle stands.

Yep use them all the time; but also found them nearly impossible to drive onto without at least pushing them out of place, and sometimes one would slide further than the other! So I've long since given up driving on and now just lift the car on to them with a trolley jack.

 

As for safety, I've seen axle stands start to topple too, if too much lifting (bad) or sideways forces are applied to the car. (Though I'll always try and make sure high torque items where possible are at least cracked loose while the cars tyres are on the ground, even if some load is being taken on a jack.

 

If I've got both ends of the car raised and one or More wheels off, I'll also put the removed wheel(s) under, or part under the car near where I'm working as a backup; in the insanely unlikely event of it falling off the stands, even if I'm pinned, it will be the wheels taking the bulk of the cars weight, not me!
