If you're careful, and ambient temps aren't too high (and assuming your cooling system is pretty efficient), it should be do-able. The emphasis is on careful though.

Are you sure the fan fault isn't easily remedied? I mean, unless the actual motor has failed, or the blades have dropped off, it shouldn't be too hard to fix. There'll be plenty of folk in the paddock who'd be willing to help, I'm sure.....

Cheers Blatters,

The fan has come off and been put across 12v with no result at all :arse:

I think its dead

Connect direct to battery feed and earth to check if motor ok.

If it is just wire it on all time and bypass the temp sender.

I think you should be ok anyway as on a short 55sec to 60sec run my fan would never cut in anyway and there is loads of time to cool down between runs

As the guys have said unless it usually runs hot you should be OK.

Mine doesn't have a fan fitted at all !!!

The fan's only relevant in traffic jams, so don't leave it running warm and stationary...

Cars dedicated to sprinting don't have fans. So don't worry about it.

Just think of all that BHP you'll save by not running a fan.  Many racers don't run a fan either - there's plenty of air passing through the rad anyway!
