I need to repacka Wunoff exhaust as it is now reading around the 102 db mark.

I am going to remove the rear end of the silencer, and presumabley I am going to have to roll a sheet of some form of wadding around the inner silencer.

Any ideas where I can get some from????

I am thinking a retail outlet, o I can pick some up direct.

Dont suppose Halfords would have any??

Wunoff will supply a 'repacking kit' that includes fitting instructions, some wire wool and the packing blanket, for £30 inc delivery.

They're on (01274) 619070.

Were you the guy he'd spoken to seconds before me? :D

Go to Wickes and get some wall insulation batts. Cut them into 4" strips and push into the silencer can.

Cheap as chips and fireproof  ;)

yep that was me.

Thanks for the advice.

Ordered the kit, should be coming on tuesday.

Got a track day at Hullavington on Friday, so need to get the noise down.

I thought I would get the silencer off this weekend to make my life easier on Tuesday, but the bolt holding the silencer onto the chassis fractured in the thread!! .Eventually drilled the b******* out.

Why is nothing ever easY????

Can you let us know how easy it is to re-pack? Think I'm gonna need to do mine too.
